Take Gase out of the equation and it’s still far from ideal. 4 new OL and two new top receiving targets after a summer where they probably will get half the work in that they normally would. Even a good coach would struggle with that week 1 on the road against an elite defense. Is that better?
Just saw Saints-Buccaneers will be Week 1 too. That should be great. Probably MNF, SNF, or TNF. Haha, yep! It was a good post with good points, just trashing Gase stuck out as unnecessary to me.
He’s unfortunately part of the equation. I won’t go into it for everyone else’s sake but his lack of ability to succeed in anything less than perfect situations is alarming.
Unless you're booking road trips or something, I really don't see how anyone can really get excited about this. We already know the majority of the opponents already, and it's not like you're NOT going to watch if theyre playing someone shitty
What a bummer. There were rumors the bills were hosting Seattle. That would’ve been exciting. I’ve found in years past when we open against good teams they play well, when they open against disappointing teams they play very somber and aren’t up for the game. Don’t like this as an opener, plus if we have no fans because of covid, that’s a huge hit to home field advantage. Good matchup for the jets, with nothing to lose.
They treated that game like a preseason game as they were locked into the #5 seed. As I recall Darnold did play while Allen didn't. The Bills had no interest playing that game and the Jets barely won against their backups. If no fans are allowed at the game that will be a big advantage for the Jets as the Bills have a strong fanbase. Still think the Jets start 0-1.
So? This means we lose? We played with tons of injuries. Not saying they win but what they did in week 17, with lots of starters out for both teams doesn’t mean 0-1. Never mind 2020 isn’t 2019
Good point and I hope the Jets win. Already have planned to go up there with three other friends assuming fans will be allowed to go to the games.
If w can get the same kind of defensive performance from week one last year we win this game easily. Remember a few things: 1. The Bills QB is Josh Allen 2. Josh Allen is very bad. Contain Allen and force him to make plays out of the pocket, 3. Greg Williams is very good. 4. Our defense is very good. 5. Our QB will not be playing with mono. 6. Our offense only needs to be slightly terrible to have a chance of winning. We start 1 and 0 and on September 14 I expect to see many we are going to the super bowl threads on this forum. I will look forward too that.
