But if even half of these guys you named play well this year then the goal will be to re-sign a few of them. I think we needed to address the more lacking areas on the current roster like pass rushing DE with a Baun there. Our pass rush is nonexistent. Same with WR and CB. I don't think anyone had safety on or near the top of our draft list heading into this.
No I missed that. But the way they talked him up when he was drafted it sounds like he was still considered a steal at that spot. I don't know.
Franchise QB's exist. Imagine Mahomes didn't work out for any number of reasons (Andy Reid heart attack, etc.)
Exactly! I had to LOL at people saying draft Hennessy and move McGovern to OG. McGovern is a much better C than Hennessy can dream of being. Hennesy is quick and has good movement skills, but plays with too high pad level and doesn't have much power or leverage. If the Jets had taken him, he would have been a project backup who maybe replaced Mc Govern in 3 years.
