#48 will most likely be a WR. I’ll put the odds at 80/20. CB slightly possible, EDGE remotely possible. IMO......and if Jets were to go OL again I’d say 3rd or 4th round.

Relax. Robby Anderson is so good that he settled after a lackluster free agency, signing up as a fourth receiver on a middling team.

Just take the best available player that's a WR, CB or Edge rusher. If somebody valuable falls that fits a need, even if it's the 2nd or 3rd biggest need, scoop him up.

If there is a tie at prospect it should be WR, Edge, CB in that order

I'd like them to offer this pick for Yannick as long as we can sign him for a few years reasonably. After they say no, then go for WR. I can live with Pittman.

I've really wanted a WR for the 2nd round for a long time, very happy we went with an OT in round 1.

I'm a big fan of Higgins and Mims in the 2nd, and maybe hoping for Shenault to drop to the 3rd. But the more I look at who is left, there is a huge drop off in corner talent.

    Jaylon Johnson with our 2nd?

If we go into the season without upgrading our corners, our defense will suffer. If we don't upgrade the WR position, I don't see us having a big drop off this season with Doctson, Perriman, Crowder and hopefully Enunwa. Then again, we should always draft for the "long term" future, not just 1 year into the future.

I don't want to double down on OT, I would rather see Edoga of Fant step up.

This is where the Jets should be today-- channeling these two posts.

Looking at some of the current mock drafts, I think there's a good chance the Jets could improve their pass rush even at the second 3rd round pick (#79). I wouldn't always advocate for some of these, but I have a lot of faith in Gregg Williams to fix prospects bad habits and make the most out of their talent. I see some mocks where one or more of these prospects are still available at that point:

    Johnathan Greenard
    Bradlee Anae
    Jabari Zuniga
    Curtis Weaver

Speaking of the Gregg Williams' effect on raw defensive talent-- Darrell Taylor, who might be available in the 2nd, is a prospect I'd normally run from, but one I'd really like to see in a Gregg Williams D. *It will be incredibly hard to pass on the WR talent (maybe even additional OL talent) sure to be available here, though*

I would love Pittman, kid is tough as nails, can block and is familiar with Sam. We might not be drafting high enough though.

I don' think we should trade up, we can't afford to. That's for teams with more depth. We need depth everywhere.

I don't think we are drafting high enough to take Pittman but would have Mims and Shernault in range. I'm not keen on Shernault as a prospect anyway (and particularly with a 2nd round pick).

Now that LT is crossed off the list, we expect JD to go WR in round 2.

However, if he landed our next Nick Mangold, John Abraham, or Da$$elle Revis with that pick, I'd be OK with that too.

We'd still have two 3rd round picks to improve our pass catchers!

And don't forget, we'll be drafting at 32 next year and should be able to get a good WR there too.

I would love to team Becton with Robert Hunt, the RT from Louisiana (RT for a Lefty QB). Raw, but he will be a monster guard in the NFL. He's a big (6'5", 336), nasty, aggressive, punishing dude.

Are there any RTs worth looking at in round 2 or 3?
I don’t think Fant will be here long, Edoga isn’t starting material, and neither are really suited well for RT.

If the draft is about the future, now is a good time to find that RT also.

As much as drafting another OL isn't the sexy pick.....it would be nice to get back to the days of a beast O-line, just like '09 and '10. Solid O-line play can raise the game of everyone else, just look at how they carried Sanchez and his color-coded turnover wristband to back to back AFC Championship games.

I'd be real happy with Jaylon Johnson with our 2nd pick.. but he probably will already be off the board.
Solid corner.. If not for shoulder injury last season, I think he'd have gone in 1st round.
