Douglas is a rookie GM his first draft as a GM. The Pats have been at this for almost 20 years now probably have connections all around the league.
He's a rookie GM but is not a rookie, at all, when it comes to drafting and evaluating talent for a draft. I am positive Douglas knows quite a few people in league circles coming from Philly and originally Baltimore. I get your point, but acting like Douglas is the new kid on the block, is not 100% accurate
One good thing about the Becton pick is that Wirf was also around... I think if Becton was last/4th OT selected we would have forever thought the Jets settled for him...
Good, the Niners took Brandon Aiyuk. Can't believe they traded up! They had to have traded 2021 draft picks.
Jeeze let’s slow down with these WRs. We better pray Higgins falls or else we’re going to have to either reach in the second or pray someone falls to the third.
I knew they were going to fly off the board. There's been what, 6 so far. I said there could be 6-8 going in the first round. I'm not worried. There's still Mims, Higgins, Pittman, Claypool, Shenault, Tyler Johnson, Devin Duvernay, and Antonio Gandy-Golden. I want to see Hamler go off the board. Josh Jones, Ezra Cleveland, Xavier McKinney, Patrick Queen, Kristian Fulton, Grant Delpit, and Zack Baun are still there.
Some of these teams might double dip into the supposedly deep WR pool before the Jets get their first dip. Shoulda kept Robby.
The point of trading down is that you will always miss on some picks and some guys will get injured, so making more picks is better.
I think it was more that he did it so close to when he knew he was going to have a drug test. It's a very minor issue, but it brought up the question about whether he is going to do other dumb shit. I suppose "red flag" is too strong of a description; "slight concern" is a better way to say it.
20 is a huge exaggeration. There are good ones left but only a few true WR1-potential guys. We better hope Higgins, Mims or Pittman are there in the second round or we are are going to be either reaching or settling in the third.
No, I didn't say that he would be a disaster. I said that he wasn't a good fit for the Jets and because of that could be a disaster in our scheme. I said that he was a great fit for a man blocking scheme, and that if used that scheme I'd be quite happy to take him. I also said that he was the most NFL-ready. You really need to get a life, and you can shove your constant lame ass insults up your ass, moron. You're the one who doesn't jack shit. All you do is sit back and snipe at others. You never post anything of merit or interest. For someone who claims he knows so much, you sure never show any of that knowledge. You're just a jerk and a dumbass.
