I heard that he wanted to get down to 350 as his playing weight. That will make him quicker, and less strain on his knees and back.

Never mind. ESPN had TB as 13 and 14 pick. That was a typo

We needed to secure that position. I have concerns about Becton's rawness and long-term durability but I trust Joe's eye for talent.
...and the Raiders just took Alabama's #3 receiver over their #1. WTF? He may develop into a great NFL receiver but Jeudy is already NFL caliber.

I am going to be shocked if WRs start to drop in this draft.

Becton is as fit as I seen a big man ever. This guy is going to raise hell if he gets the training he needs to be a stud LT.

Most likely not, but if you have Becton and Wirfs rated differently, then you want to get the player you like best, not have to settle for one you like less.

Well...I had Wirfs higher than Becton due to his floor. But if Douglas is gonna go this route let's do it. He was an O-Lineman, he should know what it takes. Let's give this kid a little time and let's hope he's the next Brick.

Now let's get Pittman at 48.

It's all about whether he has the self-discipline to reach his potential. Hopefully JD is a good enough judge of character to get this right.

I really wanted Wirfs. He’s a complete stud.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe another team was talking trade up with SF, or maybe SF just made TB think that. LOL

Just wanted to say that I'm sorry if I came on too strong with you today. I've been nervous as hell all day fearing that Douglas was going to do something I'd hate. I didn't mean any offense.

I predicted Ruggs 1st picked a week ago. Only guy who tested like an elite talent at WR (tested top 98% of all WR’s ever drafted). Highest ceiling of all the WR’s (could be next Hill).

Wirfs was a safer prospect imo vs Becton... I just think he’s gonna be a plug and play guy. Becton may be all world or out of the league in a few years. His tape is him just absolutely overwhelming guys with raw size/strength... very little technique... not sure how that translates to the NFL.

I’ll take the upside of Becton...Wirfs would have have been a good pick too but I like swinging for the fences

Wonder if the Jets go WR at 48 or go IOL with a guy like Ruis or Hennessy.

They'd slide McGovern to OG and the OL would look something like this:
    Becton, GVR/Lewis/Winters, Ruis/Hennessy, McGovern, Fant/Edoga.

You can't pass up a 6'7" 367 pound left tackle.

    No fuckin way.

    I love the pick
