Could JD be the first GM that gets guys to sign 8 game contracts and resign after the bye?

I think were at around $19 with the current signings, there are more cuts likely, winters for example will free up another $7plus million. The draft pool and additional players not counted in top 51 will be covered by the $11 million we gain on June 2nd for trumaine Johnsons cut. Still don't see any big signings coming though
Edit: forgot about Osemele and Faulks grievance's. Those could still hit against the cap this season.

For a 4th or 5th and some incentive based deal, sure. No way in hell I'm giving this guy a boatload of money.

I couldn't agree more with JD's approach of acquiring relatively young, cheaper players with motivation and upside. However, I think we should consider Williams for our 4th round pick plus Williamson. (Redskins have poor 3-4 inside linebackers.) We get 6.5 cap relief, cut Winters and Bellamy, and give Williams the cap savings from the trade and 2 cuts (can reach up to $15M with productivity incentives). What do you guys think?
