So supposedly Yanks are seriously interested in Matz? Would prob have to be Andujar or not even worth my time tbh.

andujar seems redundant. Mets already have JD Davis, Dom and Yo as COF types. They really don’t need another in return of a #3/4 type pitcher. Matz is also 1 of 3 left on a deal after next season. Stroman is up for a deal...I’d be wary of dealing Matz.

with their being reports that no one is really close to offering what Cohen put out there initially, I’d be shocked at this point if Cohen doesn’t get the team. Wilpons forced their hand with the stipulations initially

100% agree with you. Wilpons need Cohens money more than Cohen needs the Mets.

Wouldn't Andujar play 3B? Cano really throws a wrench into all of this because you could just have McNiel play 2B, but you know Cano will be locked in batting 3rd or 5th regardless.

yeah aside from McNeil, I think JD plays the same mediocre defense that MA plays lol...and I like JD’s bat better as well.

    and from twitter Charles Gasperino:
Another billionaire appears to be out as a bidder for @Mets. Hedge fund titan Ken Griffin tells @FoxBusiness he’s not interested in the team. Plus @Twitter in the cross hairs of an activist investor we discuss what that means for current management now @LizClaman

Noah Syndergaard news actually doesn't surprise me. I see from his Instagram him and his damn weights. I wonder to what degree his gym rat ways factored in.

Who knows when he can actually have the surgery. There isn't supposed to be any elective surgery going on right now.

Though we do see time & time again different rules for the rich & famous.

Have to wonder if he's ever going to have 15 wins or 200 IP in a season in his career.

The surgery is going to be done in Florida, and apparently satisfies the criteria for essential surgery because of the potential for long-term nerve damage.

maybe I’m not being fair. It is A Florida orthopedic hospital not NYC. I guess everything that’s going on is just upsetting me and I’m not being clear headed. Still just seems like bad optics.

Presumably he's been down in Florida the entire time since they stopped spring training, since if he had come back to New York, he would be forced to self-quarantine for 14 days if he went back to Florida.

Joe and Evan like the rest of us Met-Jet fans getting a double gut-punch within ninety seconds on the air.

Syndergaard's surgery was "successful," whatever that means.

The way things are going, Syndergaard might not miss a game.

Anyone actually excited for this to start? It's going to be background noise for me. Nothing more.

NBA players are slowly still testing positive for Covid. I can't imagine any other sports league is going to be different without absolute quarantine from even going to the grocery store or keeping spouses/kids away from everything.

A 60 game baseball season just doesn't have the juice for me either, unfortunately. I don't see how there's going to be any sports this year. I think the NFL will get a quarter of the way through their season before it becomes a disaster of infection.

I’m almost certain the NHL won’t make it through their tournament if it even starts; playing in an ice rink seems like the perfect environment to spread Covid.

baseball you’d think would have a slightly better chance of reducing transmission since players do stay apart from one another in the field for the most part. Even my boy is frustrated little league hasn’t been cleared to restart because of that but has accepted he won’t be playing hockey this year.

the NBA will be very interesting. If they can’t make it through their resumed season I bet the NFL won’t even start.
