Joe has tipped his hand, OL is key. RD1- Andrew Thomas. Hopefully all four of these guys are on equal pedigree. If the big 4 OT are gone I expect them to default to Jeudy. Personally, I’d trade back but that’s how I think round 1 goes. Don’t want to over complicate it. RD2-Best CB available between, and in order, AJ Terrell, Damon Annette, or Bryce Hall. RD 3-Michael Pittman JR. a USC WR and a good one(possession WR) to hopefully compliment Robby. RD 3-Alton Robinson, OLB Syracuse. Very nice player. Could be a real sleeper pick here. Dominated ACC play and triple teamed most games. Rd 4-7??
In an ideal world, I'd go: Round 4-OL(IOL) Round 5-RB Round 6-K/OT Round 7-OT/K Even with the McGovern signing, we'll need a G who can push Winters and Lewis or a C who can push McGovern to G, sending Lewis or Winters to the bench. We need a RB given that Bell might've lost a step, Powell is at an age when RB's decline, and Montgomery is a FA. More OL depth can't hurt. Ficken shouldn't be penciled in as our K in 2020. Blankenship would be a nice get in the late rounds.
I agree about Blankenship, but I think he could well go at the end of the 5th or start of the 6th Round. The only other thing to consider is has he kicked in NY winter weather? Its a lot different to Georgia's and we have all seen warm weather kickers go to hell in a handcart in cold, wet, windy weather - just what he would get here
Changing my Mock Draft: This would be INCREDIBLE. So zero chance it happens. RD1- Andrew Thomas. OT UGA. RD2-Tee Higgins. WR Clemson. RD 3-Damon Arnette. CB OSU. RD 3-Alton Robinson. OLB Syracuse. RD 4- John Simpson. OG Clemson. RD 5- Bryan Edwards. WR South Caroina. RD 6- Simon Stepaniak. OC Indiana. RD 7-Anthony McFarland RB UMD.
I'd be thrilled with this haul. I do have some reservations about Higgins and his ability to separate in the NFL. His pro day wasn't too good FWIW.
He’s a good get. That’s why I figured he would be there in round 2. He’s not a burner but he was the main target on a national championship team. Plays physical and think his game is suited better for the nfl, wins 50/50 balls and doesn’t need to rely on just speed.
