Love that we have a competent GM finally that will build the O line. Love the moves so far from JD, can’t wait for the draft (Bart Scott voice)

I had McGovern coming here in my mock off-season.

    Glad they locked him up.

26 years old, durable and no penalties last year. Looks like a good add to the OL mix.

we still may be shopping for a G. I for one don't think we're done necessarily.

Not a fan of Winters for multiple reasons. He's tough yes, but also seems to get injured a lot and at times horrible and a decent chunk of change.

Fant is a bit tantalizing because i can see him used as that super jumbo TE/extra line man at times -- which can create matchup issues and mayhem for the opponent

I am super glad we avoided glamour picks and seems to be focusing on value. Will be interesting come the draft because it will give JD options on what to do at 11, including trade down

I’m really staring to think none of the tackles make it to us at 11. Hope I’m wrong. Ideally I would like to see an opening day lineup of
    Fant
    Lewis
    McGovern
    Winters
    Wirfs

It needs to be stabilized more than a little but Lewis and McGovern are good starts. I am looking for an OT at # 11 and am not sold on the right side. But another positive thing about the McGovern signing is the Jets won't be drafting a center now. OT at #11 if no trade down. Then the Jets can easily grab starting 2 WRs between the second and third rounds......

It doesn't matter how good your offensive line is if you are weak in the center - this is a good start.

Best believe a tackle and guard is still in play here. Fant is on essentially a 1 year deal, Edoga can continue to develop into something as a backup for the time being. Still need to fill RG and RT. RT maybe address in the draft and I expect a low tier G signing with what appears the Jets moving to more athletic offensive line.

Douglas is going to play rg himself. Save some cap space and still be an upgrade to winters.

I'm not sure about that. A C can still be taken and moved to G and replace Winters.

This is such a good move. A position we don’t need to draft, a veteran, and a need. Great job by this GM. Just getting areas of need and OL is the biggest.

Solid signing. This will help a ton. Maybe Harrison can slide over to guard now or play back up again.

Right now he’s the starter. Another tackle will be added to push both fant and edoga.
Re fant, word on the internet is he is a good fit for Gase’s outside zone running game .

I'm thinking now JD is going to go with the best WR available @11.

Probably depends on who drops to 11. The 3rd OT would be hard to pass up. I'm thinking you're right that if Jeudy or Lamb drops to 11 they have a great chance to be the pick unless OT #3 is there also.
