I think we should try to negotiate with Skura. At least drive the price up for the Ravens. He is an upgrade over what we have.

All coaches want smart qbs that can make quick decisions. That’s cliche talk. I explained where I cane up with it. Beli and urban Meyer were very tight during Florida’s Tebow championships . He reached out to pick Urban’s brain on the spread concepts urban was using with Tebow and Alex Smith before the Florida gig. To think he wouldn’t take a player urban hand picked for that offense is short sighted. Belichick knows what to do with cam. Don’t let the fact that he had Tom think that the offense isn’t set for a mobile qb.

They were all starters in 2017, and all were Super Bowl starters. They all were major contributors. Every one of them!
Foles was released spent time with the Rams and then he was with the chiefs. He was a 2017 FA pick up by Philly.

Now we’re talking about moral FO victories?

Haha FA isn’t about signing good players, it’s about proving you won’t pay asking price!

The green kool-aid is strong today.

And there were like ya know 40 other players. If i recall it was Clement, Ertz and Foles accounted for 20 plus points.

Foles was drafted by philly. He followed Andy, he went back to Philly as a back up with pederson went there. Reod coached Doug and gave him the coaching job and essentially got him the Philly job. It's well known around here. That team had a lot of home grown talent. Not a bunch of big free agents. Theyve never been that sorta team.

According to NFL.com, Trae Waynes has signed with the Bengals and Darqueeze Dennard has signed with the Jaguars.

Yes and that would be a good signing...one less position to worry about in the draft.

Josh Allen makes Goff look like Peyton Manning by comparison.

Allen does not have the skills to be a good QB. He is shaky in the pocket and panics often. He routinely overthrows his targets. He stops looking downfield and goes into run mode much too early on a large number of his attempts on the move, giving up the advantage that having LB's and DB's breaking off their coverage in response would otherwise give him. In short he is a physical phenomenon who lacks the mental fortitude to actually play QB well in the NFL.

When he's gone people will remember him for an outstanding arm and great speed which was not coupled with the temperance that a good QB needs to survive in the NFL.

If he finds the inner calm that a QB needs to operate in the NFL and makes some adjustments to his mechanics he could be great. However he has been the same QB since high school and expecting him to figure it out now at the NFL level is unreasonable. Most great QB's learned what they needed to know to be successful from age 15-18 and then refined from there in college to be near a finished product when they hit the NFL. Josh Allen has been getting by on great physical tools since the first time he threw a football in high school. There's no evidence that he's refined his game at all as he moved to college and then the Bills.

The talent around him has gotten much better and was enough to let him make a contribution last year to a very good team. However ultimately he was what was holding that team back as his panicked play in the playoffs showed. Watching him turn his back on the rush twice in the latter part of the game and get swallowed up for big losses both times as the Bills blew the lead was (another) foreshadowing of where this is going to wind up in a couple of years.

They didn't mortgage their draft this year. They gave up the 22nd pick for a great WR. A position of need for them. They had 2 5th round picks and 3 6th rounders. Easily disposable. They now have 8 picks remaining.

It's not a moral victory. It's a reality of trying to stop us from getting stomped all over by free agents and give in to all demands right away. The Browns don't really care and continue to hand out ridiculous contracts to the Austin Hooper's of the world.

We want to not be the Browns.

Foles was a FA. More than 1\2 the starters on offense and Defense were FAs. Those FA o lineman didn't allow a sack. Jeffrey and Blont scored the first 2 TDs for the eagles there were 37 FAs total on that roster more than half the total roster .

Other teams getting better Jets not doing much....I will never understand this franchise..Im not saying make a splash or sign a big name but atleast look like your trying. Why not try to trade for Hopkins or Diggs..Why are we never involved in anything that might make us a better team.
