I think he looks like a bigger bust because he was overdrafted. Dude was fast as fuck in college though.
As Jet fans if Macc or Idzik or Tanny etc would've drafted this Josh Dotson DURING THE FIRST ROUND and wasted our 1st round pick on him while "everyone else was on the board" lol good Lord would the pitchforks have been on full display. But now it's a good signing? Lol.
Yes, drafting him in the first and him not working out is a bad bad pick. Signing him in February ,for likely no major money is a good signing.not sure what you’re not understanding.
Doesn't change the fact. He's a bust. Doesn't change the fact as a fan I'm not excited over other teams leftovers and busts.
Not a good signing or a bad signing. Just an interesting, low risk signing that has a low probability of panning out, that's all.
I think it's worth rolling the dice on Doctson. I doubt he'll make the team, but it won't hurt to give him a chance. If he pans out, it will help the team, and be a great move. I'm sure that he's being paid near the NFL minimum, if not the minimum.
He’s not a bust to the jets, he’s just a guy with potential at a position of need. We really don’t care if you’re excited or not. Comparing the jets signing him to vet minimum to the redskins drafting him the first round is dumb, even for you.
Cris Carter was a bust in Philadelphia and he turned out OK too. He's the exception to the rule. But this dude's worth trying to find another exception to that rule.
You have a point but his point is probably made after reading the Robby Anderson thread and then this one. Saying that Doctson was on the verge of breaking out and then the next season the TD's dropped off and he was gone, he could be decent cheap pick up but he needs to stay healthy, we have just had the season from hell on that front and don't need any more made of glass players.
Exactly. Nothing really to see here. JD throwing a dart at the board with a position of great need. No harm no foul ....
As many have said not a bad signing. Guy who 4 years ago showed alot of promise. At this point he has 33 games played 81 receptions. NFL veteran with experience. If healthy he should come ready to play and prove something. Maybe we get lucky. In reality a 27 year old receiver who is often injured and maybe makes it to August for us. Good low risk signing. Time will tell with him.
