yup, I have had this rant alot. almost every year around draft time and they play that clip of that smug little bitch Kiper ripping the Jets for taking Lageman back then. He was a good linebacker/DE

Lageman's best position would've been 3-4 DE. But i agree he was a more than serviceable 4-3 end.

The last pass rusher we had anywhere in Lageman's league was John Abraham.

I would take Lageman with our first round pick this year if he was coming out of college now.

I don't want to speak for Leon, but I think he was saying that it was "classic Jets' stupidity" because they didn't take Mahomes. I don't think he was saying that your comment was stupid.

They weren't drafted or employed for so long to get sacks. You obviously don't understand NFL history. They were run stoppers and immovable objects in the middle of the DL when the run was considered more important than the pass.

Neither was drafted with a "premium" pick. Washington was drafted with the 25th pick of the 1st round when there were only 28 teams. Brown wasn't drafted until the 3rd round.

When your team has had the draft history ours has and has drafted the following players, it's hard to name one that I hate most.

Johnny "Lame" er I mean "Lam" Jones
    Russell Carter
    Ron Faurot
    Mike Haight
    Roger Vick
    Dave Cadigan
    Reggie Rembert
    Johnny Mitchell
    Coleman Rudolph
    Kyle Brady
    Rick Terry
    Dorian Boose
    Dewayne Robertson
    Mike Nugent
    Vernon Gholston
    Mark Sanchez
    Kyle Wilson
    Vlad Ducasse
    Quinton Coples
    Stephen Hill
    Dee Milliner
    Calvin Pryor
    Jace Amaro
    Darren Lee
    Christian Hackenberg

In addition to the awful players we did take, we have missed out on a legion of very good, great and HOF players such as Peyton Manning, Orlando Pace, Walter Jones, Dan Marino, Warren Sapp, Patrick Mahomes, and many, MANY others. Because they happened so recently, missing out on Mahomes and Josh Allen rank up there for me, even though both players are young and haven't accomplished as much as those previously mentioned. Just imagine adding those two to the same team. Unless, Mac continued to ignore the OL and offensive playmakers, it would have taken a Kotitean level of stupidity to not have won multiple Super Bowls with those two players.
