We got like a 3 or 4 for him & now ESPN is talking up FQB money for him. Another idiot move by MCC? Just think if we kept him if they are right & he is a FQB then we pissed away all those draft choices to BFLO + the the #3 pick itself
I'm happy for Terry, and he likely will get a nice deal, but I doubt anyone thinks he would have survived behind this Jets O-line in 2018 and 2019. If he becomes a Franchise QB, then good for him and his new team, but this actually was a good move by MCC.
Terry is a great person. He lead the Jets to the World Series in 2015 with the Dark Knight. Be great if the Mets can hire him. Definitely lead them to a Super Bowl. FHC. FHC=Franchise Head Coach
TEDDY Bridgewater is a decent QB and if he gets franchise money in FA good for him. However he is not a franchise QB at least he didn’t look like one last year. He is a good QB - can definitely hold the fort and move the ball however there was a noticeable difference with Brees not being out there. Mac made many mistakes while he was in NY but signing Teddy and then trading him for a third rounder was one of his best moves. Teddy wanted to start and that wasn’t going to happen with Darnold in the fold.
He wouldn’t have been here in 2019. He was on a one year deal liking to rehab so he can work back to a starting gig. He wouldn’t have resigned here after we just took Sam with the 3rd pick. There wasn’t a path to the starting spot for him here.
This then opver the mcc spent like never when they couldn'd run then spiked the ball from those who come down.
The question is is TB was still on the roster did we need SD or could have traded the #3 to get more maybe better players Thats was call thinking out side the box
Bingo. He's ok. He's Alex Smith lite. 'Terry' Checkdowns will go somewhere for ridiculous money he doesn't deserve and be lucky to have a career that mirrors Matt Schaub.
Well that's a debate that is yet to be decided. I for one still believe Sam is the Jets franchise QB. I would like to see him perform with a decent OL in front of him and some decent playmakers for a change. How about a #1 go to WR? He is still only 22 years old. However assuming SD IS the guy then Mac did well signing a post injured TB and then swinging a deal for a 3rd round pick a few months later.
