I should've clarified scoring rather than touchdown drive. My bad, pal.

To think, when they hired Lynch, I thought they were making a Matt Millen-esque mistake. Instead, they dig out from the post-Harbaugh wreckage and are back in the SB. Amazing stuff. Maybe I'll live long enough to see the Jets do something similarly smart.

They'll be inactive, so they technically won't be playing.

congrats to 49ers and chiefs, especially chiefs. just hope that Mahomes career doesn't follow a pattern like Marino. Get there young and never go back cause the team around him couldn't get it together.

Man the chiefs hit pay dirt with him. fantastic pick.

depends what states they are playing in. something you don't hear about too often because it gets squashed but u can bet the farm their lawyers and accountants are giving them the up to date tax burden on their salary - especially come free agent time when/if they consider other teams.

Some listen to it and some don't.

its a huge consideration in maximizing their dollars.

Right. But that's the big draw of playing in Texas and Florida because the lack of income tax. The tax dollars obviously make a difference based on the state, but we're talking about the top paid athletes in the sport.

Aaron Rodgers, as most top tier quarterbacks, are incredibly concerned with their legacy. I'm surprised that this late in his career, after making so much money already, he'd elect for the top salary over a potential second SB run by say adding two more players to his offense.

    Definitely don't blame him though.

For many years he was. Could make all the throws with zip and accuracy, extend plays with his legs and had a great understanding with is longtime and high quality receivers.

Last couple of years though - His footwork has gone to pot, he can't extend plays with those ageing legs and the new breed of younger, faster edge rushers and his receivers aren't of the same quality.

In the era of Mahomes, Jackson, Wilson and Company........he's been sliding for a while.
