Hmmm, just because you fantasize about a wild sweaty week on a deserted island with Megan Fox doesn't mean your legacy is a wild sweaty week on a deserted with Megan Fox.
Forty is prime time. I just saw a list of the world's most beautiful women for 2020. Guess who was number one?
Now that I think of it Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and TMNT Out of the Shadows are 2 of my favorite movies ahahah
Their victories with this franchise will be how it grew in value from when when it was acquired at 670 million to now its worth 2.6 billion. Maybe WJ sells in a few years and takes the money and runs. Maybe he tries to move the franchise to England so he doesn’t have to complete with the NYG and can get his own stadium. Like Champ says, we were screwed when Hess pushed out Werblin the franchise took a big step back in being competitive. Hess got it right before he died. Then we got stuck with WJ. He has sucked as an owner almost the whole time. 2 of the best coaches left as soon as he bought the team. What does that tell you? This organization is a graveyard for players that want to improve and win. That never happens here.
Asking about the Johnson's legacy is like asking about Capt. Smith's legacy on the Titanic. Main difference is that Smith only got to fuck up once whereas the Johnsons get to fuck up repeatedly.
- terrible stadium decision, possibly their most unforgivable action - bad uniform changes - not enough football people in organizational leadership positions, which led to..... - Adam Gase
The Johnsons' legacy with the Jets will not one that history will look back on kindly. From the stadium debacle, to the erosion of the fanbase, a decade out of the playoffs, a disastrous front office that has set this franchise back by twenty years when compared to the rest of the league, to replacing the iconic uniforms with the junior high school BS they replaced them with, and ultimately arguably the worst decision of the lot, hiring Adam Gase when we finally may have stumbled into a franchise QB, there's not much about the time under their ownership to look back at fondly or to be proud of.
Don't forget about Belichick walking when they first took over. These idiots were born on third base, stole second, and to this day think they hit a home run.
Their legacy will be a couple of guys who owned a football team, made a ton of money, but never won a damn thing.
Well this is a question I can't answer because we truly don't know what they do. I asked this in another thread- if the GM and HC disagree on a player- who decides. Do the Johnsons? What exactly is the Jet power structure? Think Jamal Adams- he was highly rated and a safety and the HC was a safety who played against his father. If Adams was there he was always the pick because of Bowles. If Maccagnan wanted to draft someone else aside from a QB and the Johnson's vetoed it and sided with Bowles then they look much better. The Rex Ryan years were fun- back to back AFC championship games. They did have a period of success.
