Every time I see an ad for an upcoming sitcom I think to myself "aren't comedies supposed to be funny?"
You gotta have a better angle of the spot than that...? Looked short to me. Eh whatever, with these angles they'll never overturn it.
That wasnt a first down, its ridiculous that the NFL has all the camera angles and can't piece it together.
Of course as I'm sure the NFL would remind you, the yellow line is unofficial (despite it being accurately lined up with the 1st down marker). But yeah, that last shot they showed before they upheld it was crystal clear to me, but I knew they'd stick with the call.
Also im sick of the commentators sucking up to the NFL. They both knew it wasn't a first down, but the moment there was a hint that the NFL wasn't going to change it, they all change tune because they have to protect the shield at all costs.
Yeah but they placed the ball way ahead of that line, also they never came out and did a measurement. They clearly put the ball in the wrong spot, and maybe it was a first down, but it certainly needed a measurement if it was actually placed in the correct spot.
Yes, Seahawks got robbed by that call but they had to go for that 4th down when Carrol punted. Good job, Pete Carrol, you never got the ball back.
I never understand the logic behind that. Even if they didn't convert, the Packers are still playing for a first down. If you stop them, they do a FG attempt and its only an 8 point game anyway.
Which brings me back to the 2 pt conversion attempt. I’d play it conservatively and kick the extra point to make it a 4 pt game so if they kick a FG I’m only down 7. I’m sure many people would disagree, and try to cut it to a FG game, but that’s just my personal preference in that situation that I think Carol botched.
I'd drink heavily, too, if I had to spend three hours on a Sunday evening enclosed in a small broadcast booth with Joe Buck. By the way, does Buck have a really weirdly shaped head? It looks like that when he was born, the doctor pulled him out head-first with Vise-grips.
