I absolutely don't blame him... I'm pissed at him, selfishly. But there is a slim to none chance he stays here. Which sucks.
That would be a huge shame. He was Sam's go-to for 3rd down conversions and sorely missed this season. I know he's hurt his neck twice but I still hold out hope. He was awesome and refused to go down,
Robby is not coming back & I can't say that I blame him... we are going to have a very hard time bringing in FA's to this shit show.
He would be foolish to try a comeback. Powell somehow by the grace of God has managed so there is the possibility that Enumwa can do it.
I think someone stated that he is good for $9/$10M per year, for 3 years/4 years. If he doesn’t take that good luck to him. The guy isn’t even ranked top 50 among receivers as far DYAR per footballoutsider.com. He is good but he is not that good he thinks.
Again I would pay Robbie 11-12. He's a worse version of Tyrell Williams. I like him but not enough to pay him that much. He's not the top wideout in FA yet. Fact is we can't resign him now and his agent knows it. His agent wants him to test FA. So this whole conversation is pointless. Copper may hit FA and make 17-18. Robbie will make 14 or 15 in Tennessee or Oakland or wherever. Dallas maybe. I still then AJ Green has a few good years in the tank and could make 12 or 13 depending on his health. There is a lot of moving pieces this year.
Only the Jets fanbase would think that Berrios and Enunwa are going to make a difference for this team next year. We already saw this under the Rex regime, Clyde Gates and a bunch of no names were brought in as offensive weapons for Mark Sanchez and the offensive side of the ball has been garbage since then. They should have locked him up long term, now it’s another position that has to be addressed.
I have 0 faith in Enunwa. He's just not a choice for me. He's injured non stop and waste good when he wasn't injured. He was ok but not good. Berrios I'm reserved about, he's not good now, but he's a work in progress. Robbie just isn't worth the money he wants but I'm not sure he gets as much as he wants. I think the best choice for him is here with Sam but only if he wants 11-12. That said I hate seeing him go because he was a pretty good WR. This just means we need 2 starting WR this year as well as a lot of udfa and camp bodies. Gotta be a big competition.
Every off season people say " no one wants to come here" yet every single off season a lot of players come here. Can we stop with hat bullshit narrative?
And forgive me for being an NC and posting multiple times in a row here but can we also please stop including Enunwa in any future scenarios? please, can we let that go.
lmao Berrios, I can't believe some actually thought he could replace Robby. I guess the Jets are going to do the same damn thing they did to Mark in 2011+2012. We are in for a long ride.
Anderson if gone is a easy position to replace. He s good but not that good. Not saying Berrios is the guy but I am sure we’ll find plenty of options at draft/FA/trade.
I guess it's a good idea to waste two years worth of chemistry development with one of the better deep threats in the NFL.
There is every basis for it to be my opinion, which is exactly what I said it was. Not too complex a concept.
You know, I’m not even remotely saying Berrios is as good as Robbie but I’ll tell you this right now, BB has some serious value returning punts. It feels like a million years ago when we had someone who actually fields the kick and moves forward.
Having Robby preclude the Jets from bidding against themselves is a huge blessing at this point. Not that I wouldn't like him back but on your terms not his. The only way to do that is to let him hit free agency and see if somebody else wants to overpay, in which case it was nice having him on the team and we'll get a 3rd round pick for him next year. If he finds out he is valued as a #2, well that's our chance to get him at #2 money with a bit of a bump to help him save face and do the right thing.
