So you’re saying if the jets were a better team they’d have 3 more wins? Deep.

If we had a better back up quarterback when Sam went down we might have a few more wins

Semian was a quality backup. About as good as you can get for a backup.

Beachum needed to stay healthy the whole year, he didn’t
Osemele needed to stay healthy and return to his pro bowl form, he didn’t
Khalil needed to be the average center he retired as, he wasn’t.
winters needed to have a career year and stay healthy , he didn’t.
shell needed to have a career year and show he is a starting tackle in this league, he didn’t and he isn’t.
We could have lived with one or maybe two of these things going wrong. The fact that all 5 went the wrong way and then the backups getting injured is ground zero for what went wrong this year.

Bridgewater did not look great going into the 2019 off season , also Bridgewater was not under contract for the 2019 season. Saying he would have definitely signed here as an unrestricted free agent is a big jump. So without hindsight of seeing bridgewater in his second season with Payton and brees and not making the assumption that he would have definitely reupped her or that mac would have made him an offer, I stand by my statement.

I would say that Bridgewater is the guy who was "about as good as you can get as a backup;" far superior to Siemian.

(There was no qualifier about who looked better going into the season, would or would not have signed or was nicer to his mother.)

Again . There’s nothing to suggest bridgewater was able to be gotten. And since you like to swim in the minutiae, doesn’t the about give wiggle room for a player or two? No one said the best, which is where you seem to be trimming to bring this pointless conversation.
Actually you know what, don’t bother ,I will t be answering, I stand by my statement. Like it disagree with it, dissect every piece of it all you want. Go nuts bro.

Why don't you just admit that Siemian is nowhere near the backup that Bridgewater is? Why not just say you overlooked Bridgewater in an attempt to make some kind of point that Siemian failed at his job here or the Jets had the right guy in place?

You can stand by your statement - that "Siemian was a quality backup?"

I'll stand by mine; I'll even repeat it - Bridgewater is a far better backup than Siemian.

    Any thoughts on Tannehill?

We should have signed Josh McCowan. Or take a chance on that qb nobody wants. Better backup than who we had when
    Sam went down

We don't actually know what kind of backup Sieman would have been, he barely lasted a quarter.
