Do injuries only count for other teams? If we had a competent field goal kicker we’d have beaten the double digit win Bills. What would the excuse for our win be there?

Just take it for what it is and don’t overthink it. Fuck the Steelers, any win against them is a good win.

You can be happy about beating the Steelers and at the same time realize that this season was a disaster and winning 6 meaningless games doesn't mean we are headed in the right direction...this just feels like the Todd Bowles era all over.

I mean you’re preaching to the choir here. I firmly believe that we will be going absolutely nowhere until we get rid of Gase. At the same time I’m not going to sit here and pick a part wins and pretend like the only teams that have injury issues are the ones we played against.

If this is in reference to draft position keep in mind that while you are correct on paper - franchises such as the Steelers are always drafting low and always seem to hit it right in the early rounds.

The Jets need better scouting - much more important than drafting at # 8 instead of # 12. A smart organization will find a good player at a position of need and the Jets have plenty of needs.

Could not have said it better. Play to win and forget draft position. I wanted the jets to win today (especially over Tomlin) and want them to win next week. The big difference in the 2020 draft is that Mike MacIdiot will no longer be making the picks, so the jets WILL get better now, or at least have better personnel. I hope that our current GM, being a former OL himself, understands that OL cannot be ignored every year on draft day like Mike MacIdiot always did.

If JD doesn’t like the Jets draft position I’m hoping he trades down 3-5 spots and gets a second rounder out of it. Then maybe he can still get one of those top WRs or maybe even go center in the first round. He still may be able to grab a OT in the second.....I’m sure he will have several plans of attack.

    Yup

I really don’t care I was just talking to talk and give perspective

I know you should never apologize for winning

    I was glad

And I so hate the Steelers and remember they were the dirty ass team that ended Sanchez career

    All good

Random thought about the game. I'm wondering how Darnold's nut sack is feeling after being brutalized by Watts Fist. That's like the third time I've seen him do that someone. Pretty easy to get Forced Fumbles when your just out there running around swinging at footballs like it was your red headed step child

And not for nothing, doesn’t he rate a 15 yd unsportsmanlike penalty for taking his helmet off? Or is that jus a Robbie Anderson thing?

I thought the same thing. Sam fumbled that ball because he got socked in the balls. He's been pretty good at protecting the ball on sacks this year otherwise.

I was wondering this too. They even kept a still frame on the big screens in the stadium as if to say “hey dipshits where’s the flag?”

Also I had no idea Sam got dick punched til I go home from the game. He’s forgiven. That shouldn’t even count.

Yeah considering he's been getting his shit kicked in all year I think he has done a good job at protecting the ball. But yeah he had no shot on this play lol

Honestly the whole sequence confused me. At first I thought Watt was getting flagged for the nut punch. No? At least Watts gunna get one for taking his helmet off. Still no? Alright then.

Do not congratulate me just yet, they still have to beat the Bills next.

Your prediction was only 1 game in wins more than mine. It could have been achieved if the Kid didn't get Mono.

The Jets played smart in the sense of just one turnover and only 3 penalties for 30 yards. They didn't beat themselves. I think the game ball should have gone to your kicker who was perfect.

I am not saying Gase is a great coach, but the NY media has trashed him unfairly. Keep in mind the Jets starting the season did not have a great OL and not too many weapons. Hopefully, this will be better addressed in the upcoming draft.

Now for the Bills who are a good team heading in the right direction. They are the 5th seed and can not improve or get worst whether they win or lose against the Jets. So it is very likely they would be smart to bench and rest their players for the playoffs since they will need to play in the 1st round. This opens the door for my prediction of a 7-9 season for the Jets assuming the Bills smartly bench their players.

Unlike many people here I would be willing to give Gase another year. Go Jets!

If you listen to Gase's pregame speech, he was trying to prevent the Jets from turning the ball over and giving the Steelers weak offense great field position.

I think the results speak for themselves.

I said, as long as the gets don't make mistakes, they will win this game.

Besides does nobody on this board remember the steelers have Minkah Fitzpatrick and Joe Haden at the corners?
