Actually it IS a straw man when you put words in other people's mouths. And it's not hindsight when I was making these observations DURING the game. You really need to get a better dictionary. As for "situational", that's a laugh because that's exactly what Gase sucks at. He gets fixated on how he's going to attack a defense and then doesn't adjust based on the changes the defense makes. It's like he decided "Okay, we're going to run the ball this week", and no matter what that's what they did. It's unbelievable that you can't see the pattern of his inadequacies.

I'm obviously generalizing all of the Gase criticism and you're way too thick to understand that without screaming straw man. And then when gameplan and X's and O's are brought up you curl into a ball and scream I don't get paid for that! That's Gase's job! What's your criticisms today? We ran slightly more than we threw against a better passing defense than run defense. What's the issue? Did Gase throw that 3rd and 4 pass into triple coverage down the seam?
I don’t think a report from an anonymous player holds more weight than the actual facts of the team not quitting on him after a 1-7 start and continuing to play hard each week. If he truly did lose the locker room like Gase haters want to believe they would’ve quit on him.
They didn't quit on Williams. Gase has nothing to do with the defensr and the defense is what is playing the best. Ever think maybe they are playing for Willaims because they believe in him not matter how much they dislike Gase? Those reports, one we know is from a defensive player, could both be from that side of the ball. If they keep coming eventually Gase is gonna see where they come from most likely at that point he will walk Williams out. And at that point we will be watching a total garbage fest. Big difference from playing for Gase and playing for Williams... Our defense is what is making this team win anything.

Oh I got it, Williams gets credit for the entire team not quitting and continuing to play hard after a 1-7 start but Gase gets the blame for all the losses, including when they lost to Miami, Jacksonville & Cinci where the D got shredded by Fitz, Minshew and Dalton. Oh and of course our defense is the only reason they are winning anything. Offense had nothing to do with wins vs Dallas, NYG, Washington, Oakland. Does anyone question why I say Gase can’t win with those that hate him and never wanted him?

Pretty much. If you were against the hire in preseason, every win is in spite of him and every loss is because of him. And it's COMPLETELY unreasonable to say "hey I'm not sure if he's going to be a good head coach, but he's done a decent job with a shitty hand and maybe he can be a good coach with some better talent."
The issue here that you keep missing is he hasn’t done a decent job. He’s been terrible his entire career with the exception of one year when he had a Hall of Fame quarterback changing his plays at the line and an elite receiver in his prime. Since then his offenses have finished in the lower third of the league and most of the time goddamn near the bottom. If there was any symptoms whatsoever of competency in the last four years let alone the last 15 games I think it would be a lot easier to wait it out. But most of us realize we are waiting for nothing.
I'm the last one that's going to defend Gase but this whole nonsense about the defense not quitting on Williams and being the only reason we have any of our wins is just filling a narrative, especially when the offense clearly won the Giants game and was dominant against the Raiders and Skins too. Is Bell quitting on Gase? The guy who would have the most reason to? Robbie Anderson or the TE's? Darnold?
