Is that where we are in society? You can't say retard anymore? Gettleman really did everything he could to absolutely dismantled that 2016 Giants playoff team.
@GasedAndConfused @BroadwaySam looking at your two avatars, my first thought on reading your posts is that you're both Gase and Gase has finally lost his mind.
That is EXACTLY where society is now and its gonna keep getting worse. IMO what he did is a non-story but there are forces out there with extreme agendas.
OH shit this is some funny shit......LLLOLLLLL again. funnnier than the shit show against the ravens last nite.
yup. people are over sensitive these days. when i grew up it was "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" nowadays it's say 1 wrong word and your life goes to shit, you lose your job, you are publicly shamed etc. freedom of speech has regressed to social oppression
And what surprises me with that is that with all of these guys knowing that you'd think (especially) NFL player types with multi million dollar non-guaranteed contracts wouldn't even use social media. If I was one of these players I simply wouldn't ever post anything.
right? in jenkins case though he's made his money his career is getting closer to ending, his team is awful so he likely doesn't give a shit
Insane. People misspeak and the thought police want to ruin people's lives, meanwhile these same people act like they've never misspoke in their lives.
Not a bleeding heart...not virtue signalling....not judging anybody for however they feel about the "R-word".....just sharing some personal experience. Is a word that big a deal? Not for me. Does jenkins deserve to be cut for using it. No. There's a lot of stupid political correct shit....not sure this one is one of them. My sister's oldest was born with a lot of problems. First time i spent any significant time around a kid with significant challenges. Without thinking I dropped the "R-word" while i was telling an unrelated story. I obviously didn't intend to hurt feelings but when a word loaded with that connotation is used around somebody who deals with the struggles of a child they love every day...it's far more hurtful than i realized. It's not a burden for me to be a little extra kind to the people who live with those challenges every day so I try to avoid using it.
It's ironic that terms that would probably have never been objected to if Jenkins had used them, like "moron," "idiot" or "imbecile," mean the same damn thing. Under archaic medical definitions, an "idiot" was someone with an IQ of 0-25, an "imbecile" was someone with an IQ of 26 to 50, and a "moron" was someone with an IQ of 51 to 70. Geez, if all these terms are out as politically incorrect, what the hell can I call other people?
He insulting a fan on a public forum. The team wanted to get rid of him and did. If you feel the need to call people retards go up to a guy robbing a liquor store with a gun and have at it. I suspect the response won't be politically correct.
