10-3 Ravens with the home field. Fuck you Boston. Fuck you Bellichick. Fuck you Brady. But more importantly fuck all those bandwagon Cheat fans. I will move this thread to NFL forum later today but just want to have some fun.
All those calls that used to go the Patriots way... The whining coming out of the Boston area is fantastic!
I think the correct statement would be the officials and New York fucked the Patriots. But I am pretty sure you and other folks will argue what fumble, what pass interference, and what touchdown! In the long run, it doesn't matter, I can't see anyone including the Patriots beating the Ravens. But I would recommend some of you go to the Belichick press conference videos after the game. He goes out of his way to not to insult the refs. For example: Asked about how players might have reacted to some of the calls (or non-calls), Belichick didn’t elaborate. “It’s the National Football League,” he said. “Just have to continue to compete, control what you can control.” Belichick was asked what explanation he was given from the official after Harry’s play. “You’d have to talk to them about that,” he said. “I’m not going to speak for them.” This is one of the many reasons he is the best coach of all time and we all can learn something from him. The guy is like Spock, totally logical and does not allow emotion to overtake him. There is no good logical reason to insult the refs, hence he doesn't do it. He is a cold-blooded military tactician that embraces adversity. Ya, my Patriots lost, but they went down fighting and as a fan what more can you ask for?
What whining? What coach or player whined after the game? Sure emotional Patriot fans will whine, but that is why they are emotional fans. The fact that this team fought back and gave the Chiefs all they can handle makes me proud. As to getting calls, I guess you don't remember the bogus roughing the passer call on Ray Hamilton against the Raiders in 76 for example? In any contest that is close, officiating becomes a bigger factor. The NFL knows it screwed up some calls in this game, so what. It is not going to change the score because of it, so you simply need to move on. This what champions do.
Harry clearly scored a TD. Not reviewable. Kelce fumble was an interesting play. My take is the refs did blow the whistle for forward progress and it shouldn't have been a fumble. The reality is Kelce, a great physical TE is dumb as a stomp. He had the 1st down was wrapped up and was trying to get a few extra yards and actually carried the pile back behind the first down line and it actually was a fumble. I think the refs missed it because it was such a moronic play by Kelce. It's hard to look at that play and not think a veteran TE can't be that stupid in that spot. From a football perspective the TD/non TD should have been reviewed but the forward progress shouldn't have been reviewed. The refs have to be forgiven for thinking that Kelce was stopped and not that dumb. What most shocked me about the game was when Brady ran for the first down he acted like he had never won a championship. If anyone should have known the game wasn't over it should have been Brady. He looks like he is just a little late on a lot of his throws. I think he knows he's close to done and he's trying to convince himself that he has more in the tank. Pat fans in the stands booing really should be applauding this guy. He's close to done and he gave you a hell of a ride. They didn't go down fighting. They went down at home to a mediocre team with a better QB.
Patriot, All aside, what do you think about your fans? Booing the team? Really. Pats fan base is spoiled rotten. I hope, one day, I hope Pats go thru what Jets are going thru past 30 years and then I will see their asses.
