Not looking good for this weekend. Sunny skies but 7-10ft seas means I stay onshore. Season is coming to an end real quick.

Yesterday.... morning full moon flood tide with beautiful weather the day before a cold front...... but I supposedly had a bunch of deadline work coming in so I didnt go.

Turns out I had about 3 hours worth of work tops

Took my buddy kayak fishing today...... turned out to be a beautiful fall weather day.... started of chilly (upper 40s) and there was steam coming off the water. Paddled around looking for flood tide fish. Finally got a few and put my buddy on a nice fat 25" redfish (we released)..... I got a little one, but then lost a HUGE inshore flounder :mad::mad::mad: (over 20")
Took 1 flounder home for dinner
Looks like I'm heading offshore tomm :)

We're getting our asses pounded almost every weekend. I've had to cancel two offshore weekend trips. Best guess is a fall->winter pattern transiton hitting every weekend.

Fun day offshore with my buddy and his pops.... nice weather. We had all the gear for wahoo trolling but stopped halfway as winds were alot stronger past 20 miles...... not alot of fish, but we managed to jig up a few of these guys though:

Cobia over grouper all day long.... more fun to catch too ;)

Crabs are a staple of a cobia's diet, that's why they taste so good

more accurately, i would say it's a tie for me. i slightly prefer the flavor of cobia, but slightly prefer the slightly flakier texture of grouper.

No breaks on weekends up here. Winter pattern starting to set in. Most weekends unfishable weather wise due to offshore conditions.
