Well ...... yes if this continues. That nitwit CJ has spoken so we know he will be there in 2020. As fans we can only hope JD builds an offense around Darnold.

So in theory JD can build a solid team to where Gase’s lunacy stands out and he cannot blame the lack of talent.

I still think his seat is warmer than what is being said publicly. He may be safe for 2020 but not past that....

He'll waste another year of Darnold's rookie contract.

Miami just beat the Eagles. Jets just handed the 2nd tanking team their 1st win after handing the 1st their 1st win. If you think this team has playoff aspirations you are ridiculously stupid.

Yeah this is not even close to a playoff team and it never was. The OL needs to be rebuilt, there is a lack of skill players on offense who can take it to the house at any moment, and there is no consistent pass rush to speak of. The Jets are what they are. 4-8.

The Dolphins have slowly improved from early in the season despite their lack of talent. I also believe the Bengals will win another game before the end of the year...

That may be true but if Darnold is the real deal he isn’t going anywhere. JD needs to surround him with talent ...

You don't realize how incredibly ironic this statement is, do you?

I was entertaining the playoff possibility as it was fun to dream big as see a changed team turn this around. Even if they didn't make it, the momentum after an 8-8 type season would hopefully carry on to next year.

That dream is over when you wake up and realized its the same old Jets.

@BuffaloBills06 isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, so to clarify: the Jets won a Super Bowl and haven't won one since, whereas the Bills have never won a Super Bowl.

Not at all........I’d rather lose with the opportunity of actually being invited to the party with the opportunity of winning it all then to not even be invited.......does that clear it up for you?

We can build off a 9-11 win playoff season with a 3rd year QB, $90 million in cap space and 9 draft picks.

Jets have to decide if Gase is the guy, Darnold is the guy and coming off a 4-6 win season.

What position would you rather be in?

I did a search for Buffalo and this thread popped up. Talk about Buffalo and attract Bills fans.......deal with it.

I don’t live in Buffalo by the way......I live in Westchester/Jets/Giants Country USA.

I understand Bell isn't a 4.2 speed demon that can exploit the edges at will, but the edges are where the Bengals have been giving up a league high 200 yards a game. And for Gase to completely abandon the edges is confusing at best. Especially with all the calls up the middle, which has been a Bengals strength.

Ya our conference record was dismal at the moment, but the assumption was that we'd win out, and all those wins would be in-conference.

    Zero hope with Gase.

The only thing that I think we can hang our hats on at this point is the hope that we can avoid matching or overtaking the Bills' 17-year playoff drought. Not sure that we'll able to accomplish that, though. This team feels like it's that far away from even contending for a scenario where they can maybe hang around mediocrity long enough into a season to back their way into the #6 seed in a down year in the AFC.

Let the Bills guy have his moment. They’re a good team that could make some noise in the playoffs. Why he’s celebrating here is more then a little strange, but I guess when you’ve been so bad for so long you want to let everyone know you’ve turned the corner. Kinda like when junkies get that coin for so many days being sober.

Meanwhile the Jets continue to be trash.

I’m still sold on Sam, but almost everyone else should be playing for their jobs the rest of the way.
