I thought Quincy was a snowman. Guess not: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2698751 Actually, I'm not even sure if he was ever arrested before.
I guess its really hard for some to defeat their demons. I would imagine Carter has a personaility type that predisposes him to addiction of some kind. It's sad that he's on the Strawberry Road now. I still wish him well as a fellow human being and Ex-Jet.
Quincy needs help. Sad to see him go on this route again. I wish him the best, and hopefully can stray away with this addiction.
If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues; cocaine. When your day is done and you wanna run; cocaine. She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.
So many younger posters here smoke quite regularly, you guys know a little ganja doesn't hurt. Alcohol's much worse. So I don't hold this against him. I don't like the idea of people telling people to get help for smoking some grass.
Yeh Marajuana is alright, I do not do it anymore, but used to and I do not judge others for this, chemical drugs are another story
He got totally F-ed by the Montreal Allouettes this season too. They cut him early in camp and he made it known that he disagreed...rightfully so. How do you cut a guy that have shown he has the ability to excel in the NF: from a CFL team with no QB that has ever played NFL ball? Honestly...there are someguys that can be given a pass in a CFL training camp when they have clearly displayed the ability to play better than anyone else at that position in the league...and I woulda loved to see him on the big field
Hopefully, he will get his life turned around and be a productive citizen either up in Canada or anywhere. Drugs can be a cast-iron bitch to shake off. Again, I wish him well. His best option just might be north of the border too.
[QUOTE cocaine. She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.[/QUOTE] not in be insentive hear or anything but to quote rick james "Cocaine is one hell of a drug"
The hypocrisy in American society about grass is breathtaking. That being said, Carter should know better than to smoke reefer if he ever wants to play in the NFL again. TBTF
http://www.tidesports.com/article/20061215/APS/612154387 Regardless of anything you know or think you know about Quincy Carter, this Fort-Worth Star Telegram columnist Randy Galloway sounds like a classy guy and a good friend to someone in need. And no Doctor, he was never arrested prior to this. And if he had his shit together, there's probably no reason Quincy still couldn't be a viable 2nd or 3rd stringer, perhaps as a mentor to younger NFL players who could learn fro mhis mistakes.
Amen to that. I smoke everyday and agree with you that alcohol is worse then weed. Hopefully its only a few more years until they make it legal.
Ex-Jet Carter Arrested Quincy Carter was arrested on marijuana possession charges at the Irving, Texas, home of a woman who told police the former Jets and Cowboys quarterback had become disruptive. Carter was booked in lieu of $500 bond and was released, according to Irving police. Carter was released by Dallas in 2004 amid media reports he failed a drug test. He was placed in the NFL's substance-abuse program and later placed in rehab while with the Jets.
