This season has multiple amazing individual performances. Its really tough to point to on player and say, "hands down, he should be the MVP". I've included everyone I've heard talk about in the last month. I also think its too soon to decide yet. What are your thoughts so far?
Wilson get the slight edge over Jackson, because I think he carries more of the burden for the Seahawks. Jackson has been amazing, but the Ravens have done all they can to set Jackson up for success. Having said that, he has played amazing and deserves credit.
I voted for Wilson, and am very happy with that vote, but things could change dramatically by December 22nd. You should give the opportunity to change votes, or cut the poll window down to a week or two (being who is the vote now).
Yeah definitely agree with this. As of 11/12/19 it is definitely Wilson. That guy is carrying that team every single week. They haven't been the LOB in a few years so it definitely isn't the defense carrying them anymore.
There is so much game left that its still completely up in the air. I would say Russel Wilson is still holding it, but Lamar Jackson and Kirk Cousins are right behind them.
Hard to see Cousins being a serious choice by the end of the year. If Jackson keeps playing the way he is, and the Ravens keep playing the way they are, I could see it being a very close race between him and Wilson (Wilson might not keep up a 23 TD 2 INT pace, but I expect him to keep playing very well). Unless McCaffrey puts up totally insane numbers I don't think he has a shot (not saying he isn't deserving, just that I can't see a running back winning when there are two QBs who have never won having incredible seasons).
Not as close as some think right now. It is hands down Wilson right now but that obviously could change with a lot of football left. C Mac will be offensive player of the year.
lol. dude you realize a RB has not won the MVP since 2006 which was like 13 years ago and Ladanian Tomlinson won it after scoring THIRTY ONE TOUCHDOWNS!?!? The 2nd best RB this year has no chance. Nada. Zilch. Zip. None. The MVP is a scam. It really should stand for the Most Valuable Quarterback because that's what it is. The real MVP is Christian McCaffrey if we're totally being honest. In reality the awards are: DPOY: best defensive player OPOY: best non-QB offensive player MVP: best QB
MVP is most valuable player, not best player. Wilson paired with a league average RB will beat McCaffery with a league average QB.
It'll come down to Wilson vs Lamar by the end of the season. Maybe Mahomes can sneak back into it if he has some insane final stretch here, but I doubt it.
