    https://www.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/brian-winters-chris-herndon-jets-injuries-1.38491145

announced he's going to IR. dislocated shoulder.

Herndon and winters are players 12 and 13 to hit IR for us this year. mosely should be 14. no idea why we haven't IRd him. probbaly because we can replace all these injured players anyway and only 46 need to be active on gameday.

EDIT: apparently winters has been injured since pre-season and can't play through it anymore. it would explain his poor play this season

Soooooo.. what's the hold up on Mosely? He should have been the first one IR'd.

You didn't hear? They want to keep him off IR for our playoff push!

Maybe done as a jet. 7.5 cap hit next year but no guaranteed money left. Probably isn’t worth the 7.5 but can you get equal play if you cut him and do you want to open another hole in the line? This one could go either way.

Depends how much he'd be willing to cut, same thing for guys like Williamson. If the Jets cut Winters, Williamson, Roberts, and Bellamy they'll end up with around 85M in cap.

not a chance Winters comes back at $7.5 mill. not a chance. they will cut him 1st opportunity they get. He could come back at a much reduced rate but most likely he's played his last game as a Jet

I'd bring back Williamson. He and Mosely are a really good pairing at inside linebacker and cutting him creates a more unnecessary hole.

I guess we'll see how Copeland fairs there the rest of the year. I always thought he was more of an OLB but I think he's going to play inside now. If he's formidable I'd be more willing to cut bait with Williamson.

Copeland is doing yeoman's work playing inside linebacker and bouncing out the edge, where he's more comfortable on occasion. I have much respect for Copeland and I hope he's a part of this team for a long time even if its just as a backup

So would I, but that wouldn't stop me from approaching him about a pay cut.

I was just listing the potential cap causalities for 2020.

just about the only good to come out of a disaster season is that you can uncover a player or 2 or 3 that is actually worth keeping longer term. me thinks copeland is one of them.

He sucks, AND he just blew off his starting QB, AND now he's injured with no cap repercussion?

What's not to like? Cut him.
