3 tackles and a sack today. A good game for a guy who has had some troubles, and his sack is one more than Leonard Williams on the season. Let's hope he can build on it and continue to develop.

He looked good. Seems like we can make something of this draft pick.

His one sack is one more than Vernon Gholston ever had.

He was pretty much an absolute beast. The pick made no sense at the time, but if he becomes a good player then that's cool and our defensive line could come together a little bit if we can add some speed on the edge. This franchise has been seeking a good inside rush since it all started with Muhammad Wilkerson in 2011 after all.

Im sure there are a few Giants fans who were happy with how close Leonard Williams came to getting a sack several times. "Another week or two in the system and he'll start racking up multi-sack games".

    Jokes on them!!!

Barkley had 13 carries for 1 yard.

    One yard.

Sheppard was the second best player on the D yesterday. He’s an easy guy to root for, hoping he continues.

Really hoping we can get a CB to step up and prove he belongs like we have on DL with Phillips, Foley & now possibly Sheppard.

    He should be fresh enough.

That Leo trade is looking pretty nice right about now. It looked nice the day they made it but watching Shepherd step in and play BETTER than Leo makes this a steal.

I wanted to keep him but the facts of the money, contract, grade of player + Picks really looks to end up a positive for the JETS unless Leo somehow magically becomes a stud ..which I don't think it's gonna happen ..Depending on where he is he can get better but If he hasn't hit his ceiling yet then moving Leo was a no brainer.

If Shep can just be consistent he can absolutely do what Leo did and actually make a bigger contribution.

If Shepherd pans out the 2018 draft is looking like a very good draft for the Jets.
    1. Darnold
    3. Shepherd
    4. Herndon
    6. Nickerson
    6. Fatukasi
    6. Cannon

Cannon is our best ST player, Herndon looks like a great pick as does Fatukasi. If Shepherd turns out well. That is a hell of a draft.

Ultimately, the draft depends on how Sam turns out. But, removing him from the equation it looks like a very good draft.

Fatukasi has been a nice Surprise. Drafting speed in the 6thRd is always a winning move.
Herndon has the potential to go on with Darnold as that killer QB/TE duo.

He was good no doubt and it was surprising for most of us who already casted off this guy. I know I did. But let’s temper expectations...Giants had this Oline combo starting for the first time this year and then they lost Solder during the game

    This.

But I was just shocked to hear his name and see him make a play. He's already surpassed expectations even if he never plays again

Result of a bad Giants o line...wouldnt put much stock in it.You could have lined me up as a corner and i could have rushed in for a sack in that game..
