The Fire Adam Gase Banner was flown by plane today and the NY post picked up on it https://nypost.com/2019/11/08/fire-adam-gase-banner-flies-over-new-york-city/
The banner should actually read, "JOHNSON'S ARE A JOKE". I now realize Gase, and Bowles, and Rex, are perfect distractions to deflect blame from our real problem.
LOL @ morons thinking it would be all good with anyone but Gase He had a “mediocre” record with a pretty bad roster in Miami...did he all of a sudden become God awful or is the situation more to blame? Use your brains
True. Let's try it out for another two years. By then we'll only have hit double digits injury grievances. I'm always completely against this shit, for the record. I was super against it with Idzik. But I'm sick of this guy already and it's all adding up to needing a dynamic person to come in and fix this. If we're going to pick from retreads like Shurmur, Dan Quinn, etc. Again then we might as well keep Gase. My hope is that McCarthy or Harbaugh or someone like them wants in on this.
Its more likely a Joe Douglas thing, not head coach...I honestly have no idea where that comes from and who’s to blame, does anyone? But anyway I understand everyone wants to blame this shitshow of a season on one guy but it’s just not the case The blame goes to the franchise as a whole, and more specifically the past GM’s in charge of constructing a roster that has bottomed out We can also add in just plain bad luck to make a bad situation into a horror show, but again, I understand that isn’t the fun thing to blame it on
Right. I just don't think Gase is the guy to take us out of this mess. And I don't know who exactly the injury thing falls on. Maybe it's bad luck for Gase. But we've really been one of the healthier NFL franchises as far as I can remember over the past 10-15 years barring the 2005 QB debacle, and of course Chad Pennington, and all of a sudden this team has 25 guys on the injury report every week. I don't believe that can be purely coincidence.
That’s fair but it just annoys me that the narrative has been Gase is the problem and once we get rid of him we’ll be all set Not saying you just talk radio, fans, etc...I don’t feel bad for Gase I just get annoyed that people aren’t discussing the real problems when Gase is like number 5 on the list
What a lazy article in the N.Y. Post. The reporter didn't even try to get a reaction from Gase, Chris Johnson or Douglas. I'd love to know what they'd say or if they'd hide behind "no comment."
Right. He's not part of the solution in my eyes so we need to stop wasting our time with it. The offensive line can't block a three or four man rush competently. And that's not to say that our right tackle is just getting beat. We're letting free rushers go in that situation. But we really might be in for another year of him regardless. Woody sure buckled at the billboards with Idzik, let's see how Christopher does.
Follow the trend, Koop. In Miami he got worse every year; in New York he gets worse every week. What should we wait for? It's nice to know that mediocre is good enough for you though. Maybe that can be attained some season soon.
OK that’s fine then...I don’t think he’s part of the solution either but I don’t think he’s nearly as bad as what people have seen from just this season. He was average with a bad roster in Miami, and I don’t think he suddenly turned into complete garbage overnight. Our oline is literally that bad...I didn’t see Miami under Gase doing this, so I have to assume it’s on the players I know it’s the minority but I wouldn’t be that bothered if we went another year with Gase next season in a fresh start....I don’t see any top tier coach coming here and it’s just bad looks to fire a guy this soon after a ton of injuries and weird circumstances
Mediocre isn’t good enough I just prefer to look at the whole situation vs placing blame on the easiest target and moving on Fire him or keep him...nothing will change if this same roster is here next season
