Whatever the reason for the the botched snap in the 4th quarter, for you to be yelling at darnold on the field was one thing but then blowing off/ignoring your QB afterwards on the sideline while he was trying to talk to you?

You suck Winters. . You really suck.

Yeah nobody on that OL should be acting like a fuckin hero or calling out anyone's effort with the shitshow they have produced this year. Darnold probably would've fucked up his already damaged hand diving for that ball.

We need FIVE new starters on the OL. It's going to be an incredible project for Douglas.

Adams should be able to fetch us a Pro Bowler at least.

Darnold is not exempt from criticism when he screws up. Nobody is jumping in his shit when he makes crap plays like the goal line interception because he is trying to make something happen, even when his decision making is awful. But he is certainly fair game when he blows a snap and compounds the problem by doing nothing other than standing there flat-footed watching the ball bounce in the end zone. Every single guy on the field deserves to be called out when he checks out.

I agree the lack of effort and wllingness to sacrifice his body for the team after the bad snap is concerning but he is also still shell shocked and suffering PTSD like symptons from the physical and mental beatings he took against the Pats and the Jags. At some point they need to shut him down for a few weeks so he can mentally recover.

Sadly, I am not. He should have never been left in the game in the second half against NE. It was pretty obvious in the 2nd quarter that he was no longer capable of playing qb or protecting himself. Instead we sent him in 5 wide to take more physical and mental abuse. Mental scars like that do not heal quickly. What Gase did to Sam, not protecting him, was borderline criminal. The Jets have one asset their FQB. Protect him mentally and physically Adam that is your number only job.

I hope that the organization straightens this out before the next game, I would hate to have a scorned lineman protecting the QB.

And who would lead the team to victory while he sat with his thumb in his mouth?

Who cares about wins. The only point of this season is developing Sam. Screw the record.

You don't put a player in a game with a broken leg. You let him heal. You don't leave a young overwhelmed QB in a game when mentally he can no longer play or protect himself. Why put him through more abuse that will take longer to heal. We can see the lingering effects from the NE and JAX games. He is afraid to take more punushment, he panics under pressure, he has lost his ability to extend plays and he now quickly loses confidence. If you want him to develop you have to let him heal mentally first. Then you have to protect him in the future.

  14. Its those little things that teammates notice. If winters was pissed im sure others were to..

Players/teams do not like pampered QBs who wont wont sacrifice & put their body on the line for the sake of the team.

Im not saying this logic is correct or that Sam lacks toughness..but a QB can lose a locker room w a few too many of those.Just the way these guys are wired

That used to be called "benching." And that's what he needed. I do take issue with your designating Darnold FQB before he has shown he can be productive and a leader.

Honestly, the entire team quit on that play. Nobody ran after that ball in the endzone, which is a strong indictment on our brilliant head coach
