The problem is that "random report" came from his own agent. How? Why? Hopefully just a communications problem that will be ironed out before the problem snowballs.
Jamal needs to grow up & realize that he's not the only one with a job to do. Joe D's job is to do his due diligence on ALL PLAYERS even ones that think they are a gift from the gods. Hard to blame the media for the actually facts. The best way to shut the "media" up is basic competence. Blaming the media for incompetence has become a tool to suppress reality. The "media" isn't the same thing as news. This web site is part of the "media" in today's world. Editorial opinion may or may not be based on facts, competence or accuracy in connecting dots... Some media may well be looking for clicks and some opinion may say that's the case to bolster their own opinion. Neither of them is based on journalistic integrity which still does exist despite the efforts to undermine it by people with an agenda.
Any player should learn that they're not immune from being traded. If the right package comes along, you'll be gone. Sure, some players may require a huge price that no one is willing to pay, but everybody's got a price.

Yes, the trade nonsense is all a bunch of staged publicity garbage. However, Jet players not wanting to play for this depressing organization seems very real. They just won't say it publicly because they will have to suffer some serious career altering repercussions. The shield is not very forgiving when it comes to betrayal.
No examples needed; not talking about anything specific. Smart businesses, smart people make smart decisions. A smart decision need not be justified to anyone. Stupid decisions, on the other hand...are just stupid.
Keep this in mind going forward. I'm probably biased but it seems to me that Jets gossip, or "sensationalized" news has been all the rage the last several years. I try not to overreact, but it's hard not to some times. Jets headlines get attention - and usually for bad news. Thus, usually its the bad news that's out there.
