Square peg in a round hole. Some people just don’t learn the lesson and they believe that whatever they do should be one size fits all. It’s going to get him fired again.
I get it none of us want the Jets to lose but just as people defended Bowels when many of us knew he was in over his head its now happening with Adam Gase its just that some of us did not need as long as we did with Bowels because unlike Todd Bowels , Gase had a body of work before he got this gig. Here are a few stats for you guys = scoring ranks for Gase years without Peyton Manning 2019 Jets 31st so you want to give him a pass ok ---> 2018 Dolphins rank 26th----2017 dolphins rank 28th-------2016 dolphins ( keep in mind this was his first year before he brought in HIS players ) rank 17th and finally 2015 with the Bears = 23rd my point is this guy is NO OFFENSIVE Genius injuries or not
Browning his mechanics are currently terrible----throwing off his back foot, happy feet and pretty much throwing the ball up for grabs at times
Having finally logged on to the site for the first time in a few days I can't decide if a hotel bar at an all inclusive resort in Turkey was a good or bad place to do it. The Efes is cold and free but I can't decide if it is numbing the pain of reading about this shit show or making me more depressed. Fuck it, I need another one.
Wonder why the change? Bates had him standing with one foot staggered, Gase has his feet parallel. Could be one of the reasons why his footwork has been terrible lately.
I think Sam's struggles are 100% relevant in the Fire Gase thread. He was brought in here to maximize his abilities, and the exact opposite is occurring.
I didn't say it wasn't relevant...I just don't want to see the subject buried in a 90 page diatribe about Gase. Sam is the #1 reason we're losing games.
He must think Sam's a lot more prepared to run for his life with his feet parallel. He definitely needs to work on his mechanics. But sometimes mechanics are overrated. Mahomes' mechanics are horrible by traditional standards. Bad comparison because he's nowhere near Mahomes but still. Sam needs protection and he needs reps. He's only played three games this year. He didn't have a game as bad as the Patriots last year, but he definitely had a couple Jags games.
Disagree. The scheme were running is a bad fit and we have the worst OL in the league. Darnold is making mistakes, but he’s been set up for failure for the second year in a row by poor coaching.
I don't need it "fixed"... I'm talking on field play. Sam's play is the #1 reason we lost to the Pats and the Jags. And Sam would 100% agree with me.
Perhaps the worst post I've seen since junc has been gone. Really? Sam is the #1 reason we're losing games, even though he hasn't played for more than half of the season? Here are the three most important reasons we're losing games: 1. The Johnsons 2. Adam Gase 3. Arguably the worst offensive line in football Sam's substandard play to this point certainly has contributed to the team being bad, but even a large part of that has to be attributed to our "quarterback whisperer" coach who was brought in specifically to improve Sam's mechanics and play - not make them worse. You could put Joe Namath behind our line with Gase calling the plays - our team would still be awful and Namath would still look bad getting sacked 8x a game.
