Mike Tomlin could become an option..Why couldnt we just hire Mcarthy this doesnt make sense...Every year Manish Mehta writes a fucking article scaring our dipshet owners away from making the hire..He did it with Marrone and then Mcarthy..

I dont think it will matter...They wont be able to justify bringing him back after we go 3 -13.The Johnsons are going to have to bite the bullet on this to save the franchise from complete collapse.

Harbaugh will also want full control over personnel. Which works for me. He's a hell of a football coach.

Making him the highest paid in the NFL is likely what we'd need to do to get him here to rectify this disaster. And honestly some guys really prefer being able to be an absolute dictator in college than dealing with prima donnas in the NFL.

Lincoln Riley is another to consider. Not proven in the NFL but he obviously can coach quarterbacks.

The way his college career has gone, if I was him I would consider it.

Didn’t the players not like playing for him in SF? I want his brother as the Jets NFL HC.

Anyone notice Matt Rhule is undefeated and is probably gonna be a hot NFL coaching hire. Lol

They can if they want to be winners for once. They can afford it and there's no cap on the coaching staff.

Are we sure Harbaugh is the answer? He has been nothing short of a disaster at UM.

It’s time to put the franchise in the hands of Joe Douglas, he’s our only hope at this point. Let him pick out his coach and we all better hope that he’s as good as advertised.

He's as close to a sure thing as will be available this offseason. The only other coaches with more success that are still in (or around) the league are Belichick, Tomlin, McCarthy, Carroll, Payton, Reid and the other Harbaugh. If you tell me we're going to hire one of these seven? Fine, then don't go after Jim Harbaugh. Otherwise we'd be dicking around if we thumbed our nose at him.

If the Dallas job opens up, you can pretty much say goodbye to any elite HC's coming to the Jets.

these college guys are making zillions of bux without having to deal with full blown NFL players, media scrutiny, and bipolar jet fans.

    LOL

You don't pay much attention to college football do you? Harbaugh is the most criticized coach in the nation. He's 1-10 as an underdog, 0-4 against Ohio State and his win vs. Notre Dame was his first trademark win in 5 years against a ranked opponent.

You think the boosters that actually pay their own money to support his contract, aren't scrutinizing him?

I'll drive the RV to go get Harbaugh from Michigan to bring here.

JV i know he gets ripped but it still pales in comparison to todays NFL - especially with a franchise like the jets.

I would rather Jets try to move heaven and earth to get Matt Rhule versus Jim Harbaugh, but I would imagine Jim Harbaugh won't be long for Michigan much more.

I'm worried though that Harbaugh is a big name kinda hire, versus the best coaching prospect. I would want Matt Rhule more than Harbaugh imo

If I was Rhule I would give a big middle finger to the Jets after the shit they pulled last year. Yeah, let's offer the guy the job but we get to pick all of your Coaches. F off.

I would too, but I would offer a ridiculously lucrative contract, and I would also admit the mistake profusely and vow to not get involved in the football decisions of a head coach.

Chris Johnson needs to step aside and do one thing, write the checks.

His opinions as to who should lead this team have been disastrously wrong.

TBH I’ve had enough asshole with Gase and Harbaugh is not enough of a sure thing to deal with another asshole.

I’d be looking to start the Frank Reich tree and hope his amazing HC abilities rubbed off on Sirianni, who is highly regarded on his own.
