Cubs go with a rookie manager (David Ross). That's good news for the Mets if they are interested in Girardi - the Phillies are the only serious competition, it would seem.
It's just so Mets to let the best candidate go to a division rival where he'll outcoach them every game for the next 5-7 years. And here I thought the CJ was stupid for hiring Gase, the Mets just said Chris, hold my beer.
I didn't want Girardi (I had a greater preference for Showalter. Which if they didn't hire Joe, Buck ain't getting the job either)) but 99% of the fanbase did. They should have given what the bulk of the fanbase desperately wanted. I don't think they were ever gonna hire Girardi. I think they want someone they can control that isn't gonna break the bank.
I don't want a past player who has never managed before getting the gig. That much I know and I feel like that's what we're gonna get.
Heard two interesting things on the radio over the past week.. 1) Hinch and BVW have a prior history of some sort. Astros let Cole walk -> BVW trades Thor for Hinch since we aren’t going to resign Thor 2) A Rod
No World Series thread, so I'll just point out here that it will be at least 87 years between Washington home World Series victories, since they didn't get one this year! Houston appears to be an organization full of obnoxiousness, but I just can't root for the Natinals.
Why the hell do they pull Greinke with 80 pitches.... And kickin ass sans 1 pitch?! You didnt need To be miss cleo to see what would happen
The stupidity of the modern manager never ceases to amaze me. They just CAN'T stay out if the way. Always trying to show everyone their "managerial skills". What kind of a fucking idiot pulls a guy pitching a 2 hitter in Game 7???? You just can't make up how stupid these guys are.
Im sure its some "analytics" bullshit Dude was pitching a good game If i was a strohs fan my head wouldve exploded Retarded
