Time will tell but think the 9-7 talk was a bit premature. The Jets have and will be for a long time a Jekyl and Hyde team. Look great against the Cowboys. No show agains the Pats. The coaching is suspect and the depth and offensive line is awful. As of right now the Jets have a top 5 pick. Every game going forward is a winnable game. They're not going to win all of them but getting to 4 or 5 wins out of the next 10 is realistic. Will be interesting to follow but don't think they're making it to 9. At this point lose, trade players and amass picks and rebuild through the draft.

I'll say this much, if I were speculating on the Jets, I'd buy right now.

The jets should win their next 7 games in a row.

I still see most of those games as wins. And no I never said the Jets were a playoff team - they're far from it. However the schedule is what the schedule is. Those games still look good as far as the win column. There aren't many teams the Jets are better than but the Dolphins, Skins, and Bengals would definitely qualify.

The game last night showed how far the Jets are from NE in regards to talent, coaching, and in Darnold's case, experience. That doesn't make those listed upcoming games less winnable. The Jets won't be facing a #1 defense every week and they won't be losing 33-0 every week. It is what it is.

Now as far as 2020 draft status the upcoming schedule is not so good...…...

What are you buying. No way they go 8-2. 5-5 maybe.

    Jags I'd say lose.
Dolphins lose. No doubt we lose to one with Fitzpatrick at the helm. If Rosen we win both.
Giants. 50/50. Which teams show. I say slight edge to Jets but could get ugly.
    Redskins. I'd say win.
    Raiders. Loss
    Bengals win
    Dolphins win
    Ravens lose
    Steelers lose
    Bills lose

According to this 4-6. Be a 5-11 year. Maybe Gase saves his job but the last three losses would be ugly and could leave a bad taste.

I didn't say anything about 8-2, that's crazy. I just think we have some wins in us and won't be in contention for the top pick. Still doesn't mean Gase should keep his job though.

Anyone who thinks we're running thru these teams is delusional. Those teams are looking at us as an easy win even the Dolphins who I keep saying for the "worst team in the league" have shown way more heart than we have this year.
We'll win a few. Another 4-6 win season

You guys are nuts if you don't think this team cant compete. NE is the defensive powerhouse of this league, maybe we sucked but it's gonna get better

You think the Dolphins regardless of bad as they are wont be up for the Jets and Gase ? First things first we have the Jaguars this week ( remember Doug Marrone who wanted the Jets job badly but was overlooked ) and I have zero doubt that Marrone and The Jags will not treat us nicely ----> Gregg Williams better bring his A game this week as thats the only thing they can help our team win on a weekly bases as Gase the QB whisperer / genius BLOWS

I really don't see it getting better until dumb and dumber (Woody, Chris) sell. They might win some meaningless games coming up but 5-11/ 6-10 is nothing to cheer about. At the very least Gase needs to go. It's clear he is in over his head and shouldn't be a HC. Sucked in Miami and he sucks here.

So what do you think a new owner is going to do?

Well for starters bring in quality people to run the show. I don't know if you are a hockey fan but look at the Isles as an example of what good ownership can do. For years they had garbage owners, GM's and HC's. New owners Scott Malkin and Jon Ledecky takeover and in a short period of time they hire Lou Lamoriello and Barry Trotz. Two of the best in hockey and last season they had 48 wins 103 points which was one point away from the division. This year they have started well at 5-3. New owners also secured a new arena being built in Belmont which will be open in a few years. It starts with strong ownership. The Jets need to find their Malkin/Ledecky.

But here's my devils advocate to you..... Who are these guys that are suppose to come in and change that?

Please don't take this as an attack on you cuz that's not my intent

What I'm saying is, the NFL is in a transition phase. The game is changing and all the previous minds that may have worked, simply won't now. So it's a crap shoot every time. I love Douglas, I think he's gonna be great but he hasn't had a full off season. Let him have his time.
