Hopefully these new uniforms are thrown out after the mandatory 5 year waiting period. The only one that looks remotely decent is the all-white look. The black is pretty bad, but the green uniforms make us look like a third-rate college team (although I guess that could be viewed as an improvement for us).
I like the green jerseys. First time in my life I have really liked the Jets helmets and uni's. Up there with the Cowboys blues, Bears blacks, and 49ers reds.
Very much agreed. I think black could work for the Jets (although anthracite or smoke grey would be far better), but not as implemented. The whole look is a mess, though. The helmet is the worst offender, with that awful green that seems to change shades depending on the lighting to that abysmal, childish-looking logo they slapped on it. One can only hope that it'll be revamped in 2024.
This game is so huge. It could make or break this season & this regime. This is the kind of game that if the Jets were to win it could make the team buy into what Gase is selling and with Jacksonville & Miami up next a 500 record could be within reach. If the Jets somehow find a way to beat New England after they beat Dallas wow. Say what you will about Dallas, Prescott, their injuries in that game they're playing for first place in their division on Sunday night and could be in first place in their division tomorrow, we know what New England is. Those would be two HIGH QUALITY wins.
I think black jersey / white pants could work. Best look so far has been the all white. I like the pearlescent helmet going from green to black. Don't like much else about the new unis. I think mainly because they remind me of the 80s/90s look which I hated, it looked cheap, amateurish, generic. I prefer the darker green and the classic unis. Not because they are "classic", just aesthetically. I hate that I'm looking forward to this game. But I think even with Mosely back, Pats take it 23-13. After leading 13-10 at half.
I just tried to imagine that....And now I regret imagining that. I think the black uniforms are okay. But I prefer the white uniforms more. The black uniforms just don't seem uniquely 'Jets'. Green jersey + White pants are probably my favorite combo.
