Sam might be the single biggest factor for his team wining in the NFL this season outside of mahomes.
It's nice to have a little excitement around this team for once. If we can somehow beat the Pats on Monday night, the Jets will all of a sudden be the talk of the NFL world!
Shouldn't he be named NFL MVP after this week? Judging from the offense without him, he is clearly the most valuable player!
if he keeps playing this way and we go on a run to make the playoffs (only 1 0-4 team has done it, the 1992 chargers who finished 11-5) I would have to think he gets the MVP
I agree with Sam but not Mahomes. The chiefs are very talented on offense so I think any competent Qb could be successful in that offense, not to take anything away from Mahomes, he's a great player in the rite situation.
not really. liek ok they have a good o-line but not a great one, and thet have hill and kelce both elite at their position, but after that they don't have much and hill missed a month. Even wtih mahomes and hill they lost to the texans. If they had say joe flacco instead of mahomes even fully healthy they would be a sub 500 team. mahomes is more important there then people give credit. yes in 2017 when mahomes didn't play as a rookie they went 9-6 with smith but their defense was better and so was their run game. since then they lost peters, ford, houston, and hunt. 3 pro bowl players on D and the leagues leading rusher. they only one who was somewhat replaced was ford and they traded for frank calrk and gave him a mega deal and he hasn't done jack shit. meanwhile both houston and ford are playing well. if this was the 2017 chiefs i'd agree with you, but the 2019 chiefs need mahomes to win games.
nuts to think that he could miss 4-5 weeks of football action due to an ilness, have a foreign device attached to his body for protection and goes out there and puts on a clinic to the tune of one of if not the best performances of all NFL players. Mind boggling this Darnold kid is a special player and to think he's ours is exciting.
His pocket awareness and movement was amazing on Sunday. I took a screenshot from the 92 yard pass to Anderson. If you look at this picture, you immediately think he is sacked near the end zone:
I think we’re going to see Sam really separate himself from the rest of his QB draft class... and show why he should have been the first QB taken.... thanks Giants and browns
To the gentleman who was about to rage quit over Daniel Jones having a good week in his first start and saying Darnold will never have a similar week, your crow is ready.
