To be fair, it sometimes works out in the Jets’ favor, but usually not. This is from the 1986 season you mentioned above. Of course, the Dolphins dropped 45 on the Jets again, later in the year, and held the Jets to 3. That loss started the Jets’ 5 game losing streak to end the season.
Just watched the game, late kick-off time on a Sunday evening is not for me in my time zone, when the game ends it would've been almost 2am. Spent all day offline so didn't see any results by accident. So happy for the win. What a difference a good QB can make for a whole team. It's no wonder they say that QB is the single most important position in all of sports, Sam singlehandedly made us look a competitive team again. Now surprise the Patriots next week and the season starts again, we still could get a wild card spot for the playoffs. ...or maybe that's overly optimistic, main thing is it's now enjoyable to watch us again.
