IDK what game you've been watching but cashman has been bowling over o-linemen to make tackles. I haven't seen him getting washed out at all

DBs are just waiting 2 yards before the 1st down marker..... 3 yards away from the WRs ;)

Last week was definitely on Falk. There were times the offensive line didnt give him a lot of time, but I thought they were a bit better than past weeks. Falk held onto the ball waaaay too long though. I do expect Sam will be much quicker getting the ball out of his hand and being able to buy more time with feet as well.

What is “Luke Falk can’t throw over 20 yards on a fly” Alex?

Random thought- I’m sure I’m wrong but

Could the DB’s be pinching short knowing the QB is being sacked/ overwhelmed / destroyed?

“Open” is a relative term IMO. The bastards could be “getting open” but the QB has no legit shot to release the ball so it’s really just a false stat?

I admit I’m no expert tho...

You know its funny that this thread was started as I am having deja vu because as I was watching the last 3 games I actually turned to my son during each game and said " I can't believe we are getting destroyed , again look how wide open our Receivers are " in other news Sports Illustrated just did another poll which states that the New York Jets are actually getting the most pressure and QB hits from their front 4 compared to the entire NFL but it has not translated into SACKS--------another Poll stats that not only does Leonard Williams " still look fat to me " but at other times the Fat Bastard also " looks invisible to me "

This is good news with Darnold returning.

Should be able to get the ball to these "wide open" receivers.

Perfect this looks full proof. So i am expecting 4 TD's and over 400 yards passing from Darnold. Pass me the Champagne bottle and ice to celebrate our first win. What could wrong!

BTW = If you have watched the Jets postgame show on SNY they have said numerous times since week # 1 that the " Jet WR's are NOT getting any separation " .

Not necessarily Jilizzo but I have watched the games myself and I have not seen Jet receivers running at will thru opposing teams secondaries. Even in game #1 vs the Bills when Crowder was targeted by Darnold a ridiculous 17 times he averaged 5 yards per catch and another 7 targets went underneath to Bell so yeah maybe the guys on SNY are not telling fairy tales. If you have seen guys wide open feel free to fill me in as to when that happened maybe I missed it somewhere in the last 4 games ?

Guys are wide open because Gase doesn’t have anyone run past 5 yards 75% of the time. Easy to get open when you make your break before the defender even starts to move.

So here's the deal...this stat has to do with all the "pass targets". So basically, when Falk "targets" a guy with a pass its the highest separation rate.

This is because Falk does not try to stick it into windows because he knows he CAN'T. Absolutely nothing to see here. This is a Falk stat, not a Jets receivers stat.

If you believe that stat do I have a bridge to sell you!
I see WR running wide open all over the NFL every week, and it’s not the Jets ones.

Well, Jets WR’s were open a lot yesterday. Not saying they were dominant or something like that, but it seems clear that they each have a skill set that allows them to get open in certain situations. If you have a QB who can properly read that and move well enough to create throwing lanes, they weren’t too bad.
