Stop. This is the kind of wishy-washy mindset that got us in this mess in the first place. "He got a bum wrap in, Miami." "If he just had a chance with an actually good, QB." "Look what he did when he was with, Manning. Imagine him having the weapons to do that here." blah blah blah How many opportunities does one deserve, when they haven't done anything to deserve their first second chance?
It isn't beyond the realms of possibility but then we may get a manager so stuck in his ways that it would be like stepping back in time. But let's face it belicheat couldn't make that OL gold right now. Gase is not helping himself with his play calling, we can understand a certain amount of limited plays with the new QB etc but these calls have gone way beyond that and into the WTF is that category. If we sacked him would Douglas walk? Are they that good friends? We need a draft king and an inventive mind in sync to take us forward, I know I backed Mac but right now this team feels like it has about 10 players out of a 53 man squad.
At first glance 0-3 might seem like over-reaction, but does anyone really believe, based on what he's shown so far, that things will get better? And if you think they won't, why wait any longer? Only if you still think Gase is a good coach does it justify keeping him, but at that point I question what you're basing this belief on.
And what is firing Gase going to accomplish exactly? You think qualified individuals are lining up in droves to be a part of this clusterfunk?
The Pats had an O lineman starting they signed off the street on Wednesday , they said on the broadcast multiple times.
and therein lies the problem. We're damned if we keep Gase and he leads us to perhaps 4-12 and we're damned if we fire Gase after 0-6 thereby proving how inept this entire organization is run. Why would any quality coach would chance ruining their legacy by coming to a perennial loser like the New York Jets..? Answer: It ain't happening. Until the Johnson's sell, and that ain't happening any time soon, we're gonna ride this merry-go-round year after fckn year getting the same result.
Do you think our OL is secretly waiting for a good coach to train them? Did the OL tramp guy play well? If the answer is yes then a lot of teams are idiots for letting a guy that can play be out of a job, Belicheat though the best coach can't just make somebody good inside three days. If the answer is no he was poor then the point is moot lol
It isn't fair to fire Gase when his QBs have been Darnold with mono, Siemian, and Falk. He stays until we've had a healthy Darnold back for a few games. If Darnold comes back after the bye, and then it's midseason and the offense is still terrible, I'd consider it.
I was never on board with the Gase hire...I saw this shit show coming a long time ago.My gut told me Mcarthy was the better option...For a wide variety of reasons. We didnt hire him because he wanted full control.Give it to him....You gave Adam Gase control of your fucking Franchise.
It's sad when the defense/special teams have scored more than double the points of the offense after three games.....with an "offensive guru" as head coach.
The problem of course is that nothing about the team at the moment inspires confidence that the team won't still be terrible at mid season. The offense is performing at sub-Bates level with Bell and Crowder. The OL was never going to be good but it is significantly worse than last season with one of the more respected OL coaches around on board and two former pro-bowlers replacing what appeared to be the weakest spots. All this from a guy who was supposed to be a O guy. I can't say for sure that he isn't going to work out, but there is not one glimmer of evidence to support a hypothesis that he will at the moment. Rex, Bowles and all their multitude of failed OCs at least provided that.
Same. Fuck Adam Gase, I can't believe anyone could watch what he did in Miami and think that was acceptable.
It's a joke that Adam Gase got the job and it's now a running joke that he continues to be employed by Jets' ownership. It truly is amazing just how far he's been able to ride Peyton Manning's coattails. Truly amazing. If we wanted the "QB Guru" that Johnson thought he was hiring, he should have just hired Peyton Manning.
OMG Where is this Season going? Apparently right down the drain with my lofty predictions:/ Three games in and my eyes are bulging like Adam G hahaha This is confidence misplaced without big improvement in the O.(feeling is .just deflating all over) G Williams might get his second shot interim coach sooner
"WE " were not wrong about Gase as I was all over this from day 1 and hated the hiring. That said the clueless Johnsons appear that they blew it once again and the sad part is that we will be stuck with Adam Gase until next year as I dont think he's going anywhere this year
