I always assumed SJS was one of those schools you went to if you really really really couldn't make the grade at USC. Lots of NFL player have come out of there-- Steve DeBerg and Jeff Garcia are the first two that come to mind, because I tend to remember QBs. Recent Jet Dwight Lowery went there --I vaguely recalled, so I had to check that. In checking it, I saw that Dick Vermiel played QB for them, and Bill Walsh played TE and DE, for whatever that's worth.
