out of a bad group beachum was by far the worst...just trash

Cashman balled out for a rookie 5th rounder

benching johnson was well deserved and overdue

    Falk looked good enough

I thought the entire defense was a positive. They gave up a couple big plays but played more than well enough to win with a semi competent offense. They were put into bad spot after bad spot after bad spot etc. etc.
Cashman, Hewitt & Hairston stood out and made the most of opportunities.

I thought Leonard Williams looked as if he lost a few pounds,
But then again ... could be the black unis.
    Quite slimming.

    In fact, that's another positive.
It's possible that most people watching the game had no idea it was us.

The best part of that game was watching Trumaine Johnson standing on that sideline.

Yeah, the Jets were shitty, so of course I wish there was something else we could point to as a positive... but for now, to FINALLY see some accountability. That's refreshing

Yes, that should've been my fourth point. Finally, a coaching staff is willing to play players on merit, and not on contract numbers or past success.

  8. I think trumaine is done. Wouldnt be surprised if he retired. Same issue Revis had at the end;No longer can stay on top of receivers, slow to turn/run & can no longer close.Straight up toast.

As crazy as this sounds i feel BETTER about the Secondary w.o him playing.Hes that awful

Hairston played better. Its not crazy to say you feel better with him out there

I think its entirely possible that Johnson is done physically. However, I think its a desire thing as well. The main reason Hairston was better is simply because Hairston was out there putting everything he had on the field. I've yet to see Trumaine Johnson do that. He's checked out mentally and physically. He wasn't even pissed that he got benched.

Yes, yes, yes, and hopefully yes. Bell is one of the most talented football players I've ever seen, people forgot just how good he was.

My thoughts exactly. Onto 2020 is a real sentiment.

I really shouldn't care all that much, but I legit feel bad for Bell. He deserves WAY better than this mess.

At one point he looked like he was in tears on the sideline. Was it after the fumble? Either way, he's bad ass and played from whistle to whistle yesterday. He didn't have to do any of that....

I don't remember who said this, but CB's don't have a long shelf life in the NFL. The best way to have good CB play is to know what you want in a CB, draft them, and don't keep them past their 20's. Signing a late 20's CB who wasn't elite to big money was foolish.

Beachum is a better player than what showed last night

Our O-line is dictating our offense in a major way right now and not in a good way; no time to throw; run blocking very inconsistent

I think (read hope) that the coaches on both sides of the ball are going to start playing the guys who do it the way the coaches want it done, and sit the rest. Long term this is a very positive thing

I saw a stat last night that there were only something like 15 players on the active roster that Macc drafted. Yuck. We have no cohesion at the moment with that kind of turnover. AND if you rely on FA for talent you won't get any deals (like rookie contracts or home grown players with home discounts) -- which are critical in a salary capped league

Yea, it would help to have WRs who were actually good.
