I'll go with this, thanks. But we're the Jets, so it'll be the one that is an airbourne contagion that only affects the best of our players in each position - our CBs will be fine, btw. (I made that airbourne bit up, unless he has the plague, which given we're the Jets...)
Just unfrickin'believable. Unreal how these things play out for the Jets sometimes. After a gut wrenching potentially season wrecking/regime busting loss in week 1 the Quincy Enunwa retirem ... err 'injury', now this then the Bell MRI.
Losing Darnold sucks but let’s not get too carried away that the offense is going to go scoreless or not execute. As long as we have Bell and the OL do better at the line, they should still be efficient. Maybe not as good with Darnold but can move the chains. Bigger problem? Defense, their passing defense and now their injuries. Regardless what the offense does, I am more concern how the defense react to a more rounded offensive team like the Browns.
4 to 6 weeks. Hell be back in Oct. Spleen rupture is the biggest issue. Once 4 to 6 weeks pass and hes cleared with a ct, hes good. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
He’s going to need to regain weight and work his way back into football shape. He’ll also likely be fatigued for 2-3 months. He may be able to return week 5 or 6 but I seriously doubt his efficacy until November.
Ive seen plenty of people his age be perfectly fine. Everyone is different tho. Some people get the enlarged spleen, some dont. Some dont have the fatigue as long, some do. But the idea that mono lasts months is old medicine myth. He should be fine in 4-6 weeks. Depends on the onset too. I doubt he suddenly just got it. Probably has had it for a bit Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I’m still in school so my knowledge is based solely on books and lectures and not patient/practical experience, but our medical school is still teaching that residual symptoms can linger for 2-3 months. Maybe we’re behind the times.
Awesome, congrats man!! Youll see the battle between old school medicine and new school medicine. Lyme disease seems to be another battleground lol. Time will fly by and before you know it youll be out there. I know its tough, but stay strong Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Darnold was struggle to throw the Wrs and TE . We should draft the WRs in the 1st round and 5th to 7th round for TE. And Draft the OL for 2nd round. The Offensive lines are worth for protect our Darnold. Give him the times when he can throw the balls to TE and Wrs. They will make him better the quarterback for sure.
I'm not a doctor, but I slept at a Holday Inn Express once, and I think it will probably at least be the 2nd week of November before Sam is back to full health and ready to play.
Just curious what makes you think Siemian knows Gases system better? Agree there's no drop off, possibly even an slight upgrade in this moment. Long term I believe Darnold develops into a much better QB than Trevor.
Physical health aside for Sam, the most damaging factor to this is he cannot be in the facility. He's having meals sent to his house, etc. Really hope he can stay hydrated, keep weight, all that over the next month plus.
