OB Gay crying about Gregg Williams... It would be great to beat these Browns and shut them up, especially playing as damaged goods
Here goes Brook again! Creepin on other members to meet up Jus' messin with ya! I wish I lived up there to go to these games. As bad as things get, I always feel like a kid on Christmas morning when I wake up ready to watch the Jets play.
Williams should put a bounty on that stupid expensive watch that Beckham wears during games. That might shut him up.
Leonard Williams needs to wreak havoc on the Browns weak O-line. He can be the difference maker the Jets need. Will he finally step up? If so, the Jets can win. Needs to be a 24-21 kind of game.
The problem with this is that there was actually nothing dirty about the hit that he's complaining about (I saw it replayed on ESPN this morning about a dozen times, and every person on there, former player or not, agreed that the hit wasn't dirty). Given his history, however, I have no trouble believing that Williams encourages his players to "put a hurt" on offensive players and "knock them out of the game," and no trouble understanding why those players don't like it and think it should be stopped. This is the essence of the existential problem that football has - the thing that fans (and lots of players, too) like most about it is the thing that could ultimately destroy it.
I'm no fan of Beckham, but it's not only him - loads of media people are accusing Anderson of a cheap shot on Allen, and Danny Kanell was complaining about Williams on the radio as well (https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/steve-torre-and-danny-kanell-all-over-greg-williams.92800/). I think Williams goes right up to the line on these things plenty often, and I think he goes over it, too.
Bills fans have been campaigning all week to get the NFL to suspend Anderson. I had no idea but I find it hilarious since it’s nowhere as bad as real dirty players like Burfict or Suh.
The first one I do believe is borderline dirty. The second one could’ve been avoided but the hit itself was so soft. The third one doesn’t seem intentional, looks like he actually tried to regain balance and get up but ended up stumbling.
If the hit on Allen was "nowhere as bad as real dirty players like Burfict os Suh," it's only because it wasn't effective in actually injuring him. However, in a certain way, the hit was worse than your typical Burfict, or Suh dirty hit, because it looked absolutely premeditated (whereas, one could make the argument that Suh, or Burfict's hits were in the heat of the moment). Either way, "it wasn't as bad as Suh, or Burfect" isn't much of a defense. Bottom line: the hit was cheap, and illegal, and aimed at Allen's knees. Not cool, or "hilarious."
