Since everyone is sharing their mono story..... I had it at 19. Lost maybe 5-10 pounds & I was over it in 2 weeks. Everyone is different I guess.
Oh stop it! When you get mono, it usually takes 5-6 years to fully recover from it. Even after that, you will NEVER be the same.
I didn't even know I had it. I get blood work done one day and all of a sudden I found out I've had it in the past, who knew! There's no reasonable way to predict when Sam will be back. I'd imagine they're going to pumping him full of IVs, vitamins, etc and will have him on a plan to not lose too much weight.
Same here. I was screaming for them to draft Watson and just get rid of Hackenberg. Even if Hackenberg became a decent QB, which was unlikely, Watson had so much more upside.
I read this entire thread and had to laugh about some of the comments and critiques not because I disagree but because I feel everyone's frustration/pain. After 52 years this is a first….QB gets mono LOL I showed my wife the dumpster fire w/ the Jet logo and she was hysterical and said I am glad your laughing but its time to pick another team. Well I been through all the bull shit before but I am not throwing in the towel. They are my team and that is it. We may not be competitive anymore - we'll see- but all I ask is that they play their hearts out and don't dog it... if they do and lose, like the other poster stated, I'll applauded them. hang in their guys
See. Anyone who has been following this team is aware that the universe wanted Darnold hurt in game 1 but didn't really realize just how durable the little bastard is, so it improvised and found that Mono would do the trick. It's not quite vinny slipping on a banana peel but fuck all if it didn't work the same Good times. Good times. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
One time I had mono, but then I bought a stereo and all was better. Sorry, I can only make jokes because well I almost felt the disastrous consequences of hope crushed by the jets awaiting right around the bend. Sure enough, its here. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I'm going to take my earlier post one step further--at this point in time I don't think we lose much with having Seimien in over Sam. For those of you who didn't see my earlier post, I alluded to the fact that not having Sam is going to hurt his development this season and our evaluation process. In terms of the impact for this game? Seimien has more games under his belt and knows Gase's system even better, as well has played with D. Thomas before, I would argue we might even be in better shape having him in their, if the main concern is winning vs. Browns. Call me crazy!
i like it. I amstill behind Sam 1000%. He is the real deal, but was given a challenging road to travel by the Gods of sports.
Siemian is a backup for a reason. If we don't lose much having him over Sam, then Sam is a bust and we should trade him now before the rest of the league realizes it.
You're crazy! A healthy Sam is light years better than Seimian. However, I still think the Jets can win with Trevor. That is what matters. Can't judge Sam on his performance Sunday. He has mono. He was actually impressive for a guy with it. The bottom line is hopefully Seimian can hold down the fort til Sam returns. Football is tough. I don't like fans who just say "Look at that schedule. The Jets are 0-7!" Take it one game at a time. Steal a few wins and get Sam back 100%. Highly possible.
