Exactly. We have talked for months about this 2019 Jets season. Now throw it all out the window.......... including ourselves!
whoever accuses you, I will verbally destroy them. So you dont recommend that drink? Thats cool, Im drinking it anyway ... maybe i'll wake up next season or in the twilight zone where we aren't a cursed franchise.
After losing to buffalo At best we were going to be 1-5 or 2-4 going into week 8. It is what it is at this point. Hopefully the “dogs” we brought in this offseason will play and we can punch Cleveland right in the face.
I think the week 5 target is absurdly over-optimistic, and more wishful thinking. I agree that he shouldn't be rushed back. We don't want him having permanent lasting effects from this. That would be so typical of the Jets to rush him back to try to save a lost season, and damage his health and career.
He’s going to be fatigued for months. He’ll also lose a ton of weight he needs to put back on. Also a good number of mono cases result in splenomegaly (enlargement of the spleen). Needless to say, playing professional football with an enlarged spleen isn’t really an option. He could easily die with one helmet to the torso. I wouldn’t even count on him playing after the bye.
No but The Giants game is the week i would look at. Everything I’m seeing / reading is it’s 6-8 weeks which would put a circle on that game.
In addition to rebuilding his strength and stamina and getting back into football shape, he will have to rebuild timing with his receivers (plus build timing with Thomas), plus learn/practice whatever new Gase has added to the offense.
stick a fork in it Jets priorities from here on out should be: Keep Darnold safe get lots of PT for young players line up trades for robby and leo to pick up some more draft picks scout college kids like they're interviewing for a job with the CIA
