Crazy Eyes knows alot about DT. They broke records togather in Denver with Peyton. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
literally the worst parroted myth on TGG https://www.forums.theganggreen.com...obbie-anderson-underrated-route-runner.92274/ https://www.pff.com/news/pro-jets-r...oute-tree-building-chemistry-with-sam-darnold and jerry rice has a better resume then DT but he isn't a better player today. I don't care what DT did 3 years ago. Last year he had 402 yards in 8 games with Den, they traded him to Hou cheap and in 7 games with hou he had 275 yards (677 in 15 games) then blew out his achilles and hasn't played since in a game. NE signed him in the offseason, released him, signed him back, then traded him. He's not the pro bowler he once was in his mid 20s. but he's a solid player nonetheless. I'd still take robby and crowder over him for this season
If only we still have Stephen Hill and Tim Tebow we could run the old Georgia Tech triple option offense. I actually went to homecoming once and they threw three passes and still beat Virginia Tech by 20 points.
This move may or may not work out for us, but it shows that Douglas won't sit on his hands. Refreshing.
Thomas is not the same receiver he was when playing with Manning..it will be interesting to see what he has left.
Or Enuwa..Anderson was open twice Sunday and Darnold missed him miserably and you can't blame Anderson for that.
This makes a ton of sense for both sides. Patriots are stacked at WR, and Thomas has a lot of experience in Gase's system. The WR group could use a vet leader like him who knows the system. So that's WR and kicker. Hopefully Douglas will cap off the week by bringing in oline help.
Beli likely did DT a favor seeing as the numbers game wasn't going to work out for DT there. Jets get a guy who's familiar with Gase system and avoids the Jets using Bellamy and Berrios( I think) who are ST and bottom tier guys right now. It also pushes guys like Robby and Q as well. Good move.
The coaching aspect of this is probably more important than DT's actual skills at this point. Belichick picked up DT this offseason for a reason, probably because he is good route runner who could fit Brady's precise style. Gase obviously doesn't like the job the receivers are doing with routes, and while this may be about sending the receivers a message, it's probably about DT showing them how to do things right as well. On the Pats side, they are loaded at receiver right now. Actually, if you think about it, they'd be loaded at receiver even if all they had was Edelman and Josh Gordon. They have Brown now, Dorsett, a kid who looked great in camp in Meyers, and another kid (and this is important to BB) Olshefski (sp?) who can receive AND return punts. Trading DT saves them some money, and the sixth rounder will probably be packaged with other picks for a 1st, 2nd or 3rd come draft time. That's what the Pats do, constantly changing the roster to keep players on their toes, and that's what we need to do. I like this move, I like it a lot. Ron
Worth a shot i guess. Our 1 and 2 WR seem to vanish for very long periods of time, and that's getting old.
More likely because Bellicheck already has Gordon, Brown, Edelman and Dorsette and he is not worried about the Jets at all with or without DT. Personally this is a no brainer trade for the Jets. Our 3rd round pick this year didn't even make the team, we're aren't going to take an established 31 year old receiver with a great resume for a 6th round pick? I love the trade. Hopefully we can trade our 7th for a kicker before Monday.
I was told this dude named Dez Bryant is still a free agent - and he is a year younger than Demaryus Thomas. Shouldn't we take a look at him too while at it? Think about it - Dez and Demaryus at both split end. The opposing defenses will tremble in their cleats. You heard it here first.
The key part of his statement is “traded to the Jets”. If you think for one second that Belicheat would give ANYTHING of value to the Jets, you’ve been asleep for the last two decades Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Let’s just get every receiver that’s coming off a ruptured Achilles I’m a fan of this trade though. We can easily replace that 6th round pick if we really want one
