After a long dry spell, real football starts tonight (Thurs, Sept 5). Who wishes it was the Jets playing tonight? Who's glad we wait until Sunday 1pm? I'd LOVE to watch our boys tonight opening the season, but I think I'll be OK waiting until Sunday. You?
I am just glad football is finally back. Bears vs Packers tonight is fine with me. Just hoping the Jets get off to a good start Sunday with a W.
I hate playing on a Thursday because of the short week. But, on the first week it would be an advantage to have 10 days until week 2.
The Jets returned the favor the next time they played on a Thursday night against the Bills in OP. It was there home opener and the Jets had a nice win. I was there with 5 other Jets fans. Seeing Bills fans all pissed off that night put a smile on my face. We took our share of verbal abuse but that was it.
I’m in Chicago for the game as we speak for work purposes and all it’s doing for me is making me want to watch the Jets. A month from now I could easily be looking back in this saying “you really let THIS taint your trip to the Bears/Packers game??”
I was at the game up there in 2010. I was sitting right behind the Jets bench in the rain next to a guy who had a sign about Rex and lets go eat a dam snack - it was actually shown on a lot of the highlight shows ….the Jets blew them out by halftime everybody was chanting "Lets go Sabres".....
Wayyyyy prefer a Sunday game in general. Waiting three more days is actually welcome because I'd prefer to be pain free just a little longer. No worries, though. Win or lose on Sunday, there will still be pain.
Yup, it would've been sweet to be the feature game of the day. Come out make a statement on the national stage that there are finally adults running this team and a young franchise QB ready to blossom. Then sit back and watch other games that interest me on Sunday with a 1-0 record...
Thursday night is too much pressure for a season opener. I'm happy waiting until Sunday. Besides I don't want to be angry this early in the weekend.
Nothing is sweeter than a W any day of the week Thursday 12/12 against the Ravens is a long wait but we will get our National Exposure when we beat down the Pats on MNF 10/21
I’d be happy if it was them last night because that means there’s a chance they were the defending champs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
