Now that we got blown out by Buffalo this past week. I think it is time for US Jet Fans to sit back and take a reality check. How many of us, coming off of a disastrous season and coaching change, would not have accepted a possible 8-8 season this year. We had a new coach coming in (totally inexperienced head coach), new GM. We went into December with a possible PLAYOFF chance, imagine THAT. TannMann implemented a new system, new work ethics, and new expectations. They have laid the foundation for a new Jet regime. They, I imagine, as noted by ESPN earlier, know what players need to be weeded out and with a new draft coming up, and FA signings, and a year of experience for the players they want to keep, I truly believe we will have a playoff contender for years to come. I truly believe a SUPER BOWL appearance is within sight and we will all enjoy that IMMENSELY.
Why are you acting like we still wont make the playoffs? Like we just cut our own heads off.. I'm sorry, but I was assuming we were still in that WC race. Considering our schedule, compared to the other WC teams. We still have the easiest chance to land a WC spot. So we lost, it happens. We could have a huge game next week, and the Bengals could have the worst game of the season. You never know what to expect in the NFL. I am assuming that is the reason why it is such an attractive sport. I sure hope the majority of us (Jets fans) dont just lay down and die on this season. There is plenty of football to be played yet. Have some faith..
I agree MeanDean. But I do not believe we have the best team in the AFC. I want to get to the point, where I BELIEVE we belong in the Super Bowl. I am not quite there yet, as a fan.
My main thing is that I would have just liked to see them finish the season off strong. Granted they still can do that, but we have to win out. I know we won't make the play offs even with a 10-6 record, but it says something to the entire NFL. Forget about the draft we have enough young players as it is, we should finish the season strong 10-6 and look to free agency in the off season to fill starting position rolls.
Why is it impossible for 10-6 to get us in. All the Jets can do is win 3 straights... but. Can Cinci lose to... Indy,Denver or Pittsbutgh what about Jax to... Tenn, NE, KC Why is it impossible for Cinci to lose to 2 games for Indy, Denver or Pitt. What about JAX losing 2 road games.
