Screw qualifications as a reason to trust the front office, this forum would have drafted better than Mac and Idzik. Hopefully Douglas is different, but that comes down to his results, not his resume.
Way back in 1986 when there were 12 rounds - the Jets cut every single one of their picks that summer except for the first round pick - an OL from Iowa named Mike Haight. The only reason they kept him other than the OL in bad need of depth was because they wanted to avoid the infamy of cutting every single pick. I believe he lasted about 3 years and couldn’t stay in the starting line up when given the chance .
